Bottled (From bierzwerg.de). Rubyish brown colour with a mediumsized white head. Aroma is toffee, some raisins, mild toasted notes as well as some slight earthy notes. Flavour is rather similar with some slight nuttyness in it as well. Balanced and quite nice Dunkel.

ClubGonzo (5670) - Bergen, NORWAY - AUG 26, 2012
Bottle. Deep, near-black bronze body, massive creamy off-white. Now THIS is what I call Dunkel! :-) Nose is mild caramel tones, burnt sugar and hints of tree bark. Unexpected. Taste is mild caramel, malt extract, hints of nuts. Inoffensive. A pretty middle-of-the-road dunkel.

kevnic2008 (11996) - Baden-Baden, GERMANY - MAR 19, 2012
Clear, dark golden with a fine off-white head. Aroma is basically just malt. Flavor has a nice malt base, just a hint of roast, some caramel and not much hops. A bit sweet, not very exiting but a fine malt flavor and drinkable.

33cl Bottle. Appearance is transparent, light brown color with medium, off-white head. Aroma is dark malts, burnt grains, caramel. Taste is similar with light malty flavor with notes of caramel, burnt toast, slight floral hops. Palate is medium-bodied, thin texture, average carbonation, and a sweet finish.

Röstmalzige Geruchsmomente. Antrunk ordentlich röstig. Mitte fruchtig beeeinflußt. Schokoladig dunkelmalziger Abschied mit Tiefe. Gutes und volles Dunkles. Gefällt. Test vom 13.6.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche

shigaleale (20) - Wellington, NEW ZEALAND - JUL 10, 2011
Aroma - malty, caramel, floral and bit of burnt toast. not big aroma though. Appearance - brown, but really pale brown under the light. doesn’t seem it’s promising a big flavour. Taste - diluted hot chocolate, little bit of bitterness. Palate - light body, bit creamy and soft. short finish. Not a big fan myself as it’s not an exciting beer, but as it’s Dunkel maybe this beer is about right.

Grima (2394) - Merzkirchen, RLP, GERMANY - JUL 3, 2011
The beer in the glass is beautiful chocolate brown with a very high and stable head. The smell is very strong spicy, clovy, also with some caramel malts! It starts strong spicy, roasted malt and caramel. The middle part has some wooden aromas, very spicy, with delicious aroma hops. Goes into a sweet malty finish, with hints of caramel and chocolate. The finish has also some fine aroma hops, again!
