I bought this bottle at the Edeka in Freiburg am Brisgau. I drank it at Bonfol, enjoy this Easter week-end, just before the meal. It is a classical German Pils, if I compare with the Diplom Pils, this one is more herbal. The color is a classical gold body, clear, thin and white head, regular carbonation, pleasant to observe these small bubbles giving our happiness through this old beverage. The taste is decently bitter, herbal side, not so dry than the diplom pils, malt, full refreshing even the fact that this day is a bit cold.

Bottle. Light cloudy pale yellow color, thick white head. Grassy hoppy aroma, citrus. Dry, high bitter taste. Malty, very grassy aftertaste. Average carbonation, medium mouthfeel.

Slightly hazy straw color with frothy, white head. Aroma has clean malt and grassy hops. Taste starts quite grainy and on the finish it gets even a bit dusty with some earthy hop bitterness. Light body with high effervescence. It’s a decent lager but it’s quite dusty and dry.

Blueshawk (464) - Bad Bellingen, GERMANY - SEP 3, 2016

On draught at Schlappen, Freiburg - 5/11/15 - Recommended by the bar man but disputed the ’extra-herb’ (extra bitter) tag. Not as bitter as expected, almost dissapointing, grassy, clean and citrus after taste, tasty enough but nothing special. Refreshing and decent for what it is.

bjakk (814) - Skagafjordur, ICELAND - NOV 1, 2015
A gift from Kera. Yellow, clear white foam. Mild aroma, sour metal and a hint of malt. Malt, bisquet, metalic growing bitterness in the aftertaste, dry. High in carbon.
