Orange, disig, krämfärgat skum. Belgisk jäst, örter och frukt i doften. Fruktig smak med örter och kryddor, lite gräs. En riktigt fin saison. De Klomp

I guess I'm becoming much more of a fan of the Walhalla brewery. I just love their hops, same for this beer.

Sampled this beer while pouring them with Paul at a tasting in Breda in 2017. Not one of the more popular beers, but that was a shame, because it’s a pretty good saison. Dry and hoppy. Pours dark yellow, cloudy with a nice aroma of fruit, mostly tropical but a little citrus. Caramel backbone. Decently balanced. Tasty.

Bottled at Haket, Göteborg, on June 16, 2017.
Thanks to Tomas when he was sampling some varuprover, so not (at least not yet) part of their regular selection. As a blind tasting.
33 cl bottle, 7% ABV, 38 IBU, BB 1/2018.
Hazy golden color, off-white lasting head. Malty, sweet, slight hoppy, mild, a bit of tomatoes scent, also spicy, towards Belgian yeast. Very henolic, clove, yeast, spicy taste, also a tad hoppy and rather bitter. Fizzy growing mouthfeel, medium high bitterness. Mineral, bitter, clove aftertaste. Soem warming alcohol.
I guessed they had tried to make a hoppy Belgian style golden ale, was surprised it was supposed to be a farmhouse ale (or saison) since I didn’t pick up much of this character as I’d expect from such a beer.

Opaque copper beer with a big white head.
Smell is white pepper peach sweetness and some alcohol bitterness. Metallic, citrus.
Taste is full with a nice balance between sweetness and bitterness. Malty, caramel and a strong alcohol like astringency.

ZodiacM (1310) - NETHERLANDS - MAY 26, 2017
LCI. Uit de fles geschonken. Valt wat tegen qua smaak: sterk moutig, bitter, metalig. Weinig fruit en hop. Zelfs een wat onprettige bitterheid.
