I love Brown Ales, and this is a great one. I really like Walking Man. They make great, consistent beer. Awesome location as well. Hophazard (193) - San Francisco, California, USA - FEB 28, 2011
Faint roasted wood aroma. Deep mahogony pour with off-white head. Charred dark malt is first out of the gate. Gentle finish and bitterness arrive. Medium bodied ale. Decent brown, but middle of the fairway. Mellow and fairly neutral. kp (10882) - Woodstock, Georgia, USA - NOV 7, 2009

Rich amber with brief head. Dusty beer house malted body, wtih a candi malt flavor and hints of diacetyl. Dryish barley finish that is a bit sweet. Moderately hopped. This brown ale is a bit off-kilter for my tastes. jimbowood (1036) - Freeport, Georgia, USA - FEB 27, 2009
Draft @ the brewpub. This was the most unaexciting of all their offerings. Not much going on here. Good for a brown.

7/19/08 On draught at the Brewpub. Aroma is great caramel sweet ssweetness followed by a near perfect roast note. Appearance is clear amber brown with a well maintained cream colored head. Flavor is roast malt with a sweet/sour bready character forward followed by very low bittering. Mouthfeel is medium-high bodied with a moderate carb texture. Overall, quite good, but I wish this tasted as well as it smelled. BiddleBrau (1221) - Fort Washington, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 21, 2008
Dark amber with a thin tan head. Caramel aroma. Taste was sweet malt up front followed by the bitterness which was a bit cloying.

Tap... Poured dark ruby with NO head. Faint, malt aroma. Tasted like a straight up, mellow amber ale. Candy and malt dominate the flavors and with minimal hops. Also tasted like it was brewed with sulfur water. This one fell short for me for being from Walking Man. Maybe it was a bad tap. TheBeerLover (1027) - DC Metro Area, USA - NOV 12, 2007
Sampled a pint of this one on draught at the brewpub in Stevenson, WA. This beer pours to a beautiful, bright, chestnut brown color, with a thick, creamy, white head, and a good carbonation. The nose on this beer is very inviting, with good aromas of nutty and toasty malt, paired with some piney hops. The palate is firm with good sweet and nutty malt flavor, This beer finishes with really good nutty malt flavors up front, then ends with a nice piney smack of hop bitterness that lingers. Excellent example of American Brown Ale. I really enjoyed the malt and hop character of this beer, and both shine in this beer. A nice session beer, and a very food friendly one as well. Pours with a huge creamy head. Slightly roasty aroma. Flavor is malty and toasty, some strong roasty nuttyness with a light hop bitterness, finishes very dry.
