dark, dark brown beer with a beige head, which has good retention. smells like black cherries! A yummy beer with a smooth palate. Some might be put off by the amount of cherry flavor, but I enjoyed it. Dark chocolate flavor as well. A good beer to serve with ice cream. The higher abv is undetectable. Delicious. On tap at Henry’s. Pours very black with a dark beige head. Incredible cherry aroma, perhaps some raspberry there also. I’ve had cough syrups that taste weaker than this beer. It is syrupy sweet but it still has a big, big berry flavor. This is a really fun beer. HighWine (959) - Whalezbro, Illinois, USA - JAN 13, 2010
Tap at Taphouse Grill in Bellevue, WA. Dark brown pour with beige head. Nose is chocolate cherry candies. Taste is a good balance of dark cherry and roasted malt. Would have loved some chocolate in here. gracefullypunk (667) - Portland, Oregon, USA - DEC 7, 2009
Pours a deep brown black with minimal tan head. Aroma is wonderful, a fresh cherry with a hint of chocolate. Unfortunately, taste doesn’t measure up, as it is rather medicinal, with a cough syrup like ending. acblue (91) - Seattle, Washington, USA - OCT 24, 2009
Deep black pour, big tan head. Wonderful aroma of black cherries and malt. Very natural aroma betrayed by very artificial flavor; almost medicinal. Decent, but not as good as promised by the first impression.

On tap at Henry’s Taproom in Portland on 6/26/09. Pours black with nice mocha head. Great cherry aroma with touch of chocolat e and coffee. Interesting sweetness with a smokey bitter finish. FarFromHome (85) - Philadelphia, Alabama, USA - JUL 25, 2009
Draft in Portland, Oregon. What can you say? Dark and syrupy, no head, thick chocolate and coffee flavors. A little bit of cherry in the aftertaste. after4ever (8025) - Mukilteo, Washington, USA - JUL 18, 2009
draft at collins. pours nearly jet black with a modest and short lived tan disc on top. nice sweet candyish cherry nose. some roasty chocolate there as well. nice creamy medium body with lowish carb. big cherry flavor with a lot of roast. should be chocolate instead of roast imo. ends really really dry ashy and bitter. too dark and acetic. riversideAK (6261) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - MAR 20, 2009
Tap at Naked City. Aroma of tart black cherry over a bed of roasted malt and coffee. Pours dark brown with red hues and a thin head. Up front cherry juiciness followed by some dry roast and bitter chocolate notes. Lingering tart/dry finish. jimbowood (1036) - Freeport, Georgia, USA - FEB 27, 2009
Sampled @ Horsebrass Pub. I love Walking Man’s beers and this one was nice, but a little heavy on the cherries and a little too tart for me.
