When I travel to Portland, I try to go to Henry’s to specifically drink this awesome beer. The taste is great and it is strong enough to get your attention
dark brown. Thx andrewje41 Smells like cherry starburst. Tastes like cherry candy, but not overly sweet. Kind of soda like. cherry coke’ish GothGargoyle (2587) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 25, 2016
Black with a large light chocolate head. Aroma is roasted malt, cherry juice, hint of smoke. Medium bodied, lightly creamy mouthfeel, slightly roasty and smoky on the palate with a short smoky fruity finish. Taste is smoke, cherry candy, chocolate, roasted malt. seehaferb23 (260) - - NOV 1, 2015
A very expensive 1/2 growler at Walking Man Brewery. $10 per 32 oz. beer. We did a blind tasting and weren't able to identify the cherry.

Very obvious cherry flavor, excellent color, slightly dirty finish. I will try this one again. bpreo (2832) - Eugene, Oregon, USA - JUL 14, 2015

Tap at Horse Brass. Smells like a Black Forest gateau, lots of black cherry. Not so much else. Taste is different, initial cherry is quickly replaced with chocolate and roast, at the changeover, it’s a bit of a clash, but the roast lingers at the end, with a bit of burnt bitterness. It’s nice, but strange.

solid, unique beer that combines the sweetness of chocolate with roasted malt and slightly tart cherries very well. Medium bodied, but with an aftertaste that lingers. liquidhedonism (289) - Beaverton, Oregon, USA - AUG 30, 2014
On tap at Walking Man in Stevenson, WA. Looks thin. Cherry comes out very strong in the nose, but the cherry comes across on the palate as tart, medicinal (cough syrup), and boozy, but without an actual high alcohol content. I feel it would be better as a higher gravity Imperial. The roasty grains are nice though. julesjis (256) - Oregon, USA - AUG 30, 2014
Had at the Walking Man Brewpub. Disclaimer: cherry is not my thing. At all. With that being said this beer was barely passable....OK, maybe it was not passable. The "fake cherry" taste just lingered on the side of my tongue. Cough syrup tastes better than this.... andrewje41 (3741) - Kenmore, Washington, USA - APR 5, 2014
Dark draft pour. Strong cherry aroma. Mild stout taste with chocolate and cherry flavors. Overall this is a great, must have beer. Very impressed.
