Pours a opaque with a thin brown head and very good lacing.
Smell is of cherry, chocolate, and a touch of malt.
Taste is fizzy, cherry, chocolate, some bark, and malt. fiery1 (1470) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 26, 2017
Draught @ the brewery. Pours black with a thin beige head. Nose is black forest cake, maraschino and all. Flavour is maraschino character dropped on top of semi malty roasted light body. I don’t feel this is well put together, and I love maraschino but I don’t feel this is natural cherry by any means. Ferris (16067) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 26, 2017
Draft - Sweet cherry and chocolate. Like the syrupy chocolate covered off old. Jet black with a small beige head. Fruit forward and a long chocolate finish. gregwilsonstl (2574) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - JAN 13, 2017
dark brown. Thx andrewje41 Smells like cherry starburst. Tastes like cherry candy, but not overly sweet. Kind of soda like. cherry coke’ish GothGargoyle (2587) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 25, 2016
Black with a large light chocolate head. Aroma is roasted malt, cherry juice, hint of smoke. Medium bodied, lightly creamy mouthfeel, slightly roasty and smoky on the palate with a short smoky fruity finish. Taste is smoke, cherry candy, chocolate, roasted malt.

A very expensive 1/2 growler at Walking Man Brewery. $10 per 32 oz. beer. We did a blind tasting and weren't able to identify the cherry.

Very obvious cherry flavor, excellent color, slightly dirty finish. I will try this one again. bpreo (2881) - Eugene, Oregon, USA - JUL 14, 2015

Wonderful cherry flavor. Sampled at The Tap and Growler, downtown Eugene, Oregon. shoulderbroken (4255) - Tokyo, JAPAN - MAY 9, 2015
Tap at Horse Brass. Smells like a Black Forest gateau, lots of black cherry. Not so much else. Taste is different, initial cherry is quickly replaced with chocolate and roast, at the changeover, it’s a bit of a clash, but the roast lingers at the end, with a bit of burnt bitterness. It’s nice, but strange.

solid, unique beer that combines the sweetness of chocolate with roasted malt and slightly tart cherries very well. Medium bodied, but with an aftertaste that lingers.
