4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Tasted on tap at Walking Man. A great imperial IPA. Not overpowering in the hops or alcohol taste. Just a splendid mix of bittering and flavoring hops.
Pours a cloudy amber with a small tanish head and little to no lacing.
Smell is of caramel, fruit, a touch of citrus, and hops.
Taste is chewy, fruity, caramel, a good amount of bitterness, and malt back. Ends thick and a little strong. fiery1 (1793) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 26, 2017
Draught @ the brewery. Pours a clear brownish colour with a white head. Nose is malty sweet and pleasant pine notes. Flavour is a quite sweet caramel malty upfront that lends way to mild hop character that develops further toward the end. Classic older style DIPA. Draft - Sticky lupulin and caramel notes. Very sweet and caramel forward. Copper gold with a decent beige head. Sweet, sticky and oily caramel with hops and a bit of a dry finish. Very old school caramel forward. j.hi (33) - - JUL 9, 2017
Cloudy amber full tan head. Nice sweetish hop/malt initial taste. Long evolving long lasting but finish a bit bitter on the edge of the tongue.

Total home run for Walking Man. Never before had a high ABV double/imperial IPA that was so well balanced and drinkable. No alcohol burn, no throat scraping hoppiness - just great flavor and mouthfeel - blissful EXPERIENCE! Thanks Stevenson WA for creating this.

Clear golden pour with a bubbly white foam, spotty lacing. Nose is tangerine, pineapple, essentially the tropics in a blender. Mouthfeel crisp, mild alcohol warmth, low-medium carbonation. Taste is sweet tropical notes with the spicy tang and hoppy bite. Wicked. Brentv (686) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JUL 1, 2016
On tap at ABV Pub in Hillsboro, OR. Hazy orange/copper pour with a small white head. Fruity aroma. Flavors of orange and mango and other citrus. A nicely malty and sweet IPA with lots of hops and flavor. Medium full mouthfeel. SHIG (4965) - Wasilla, Alaska, USA - FEB 15, 2016
Bottle: Poured a copper with off white head. Aroma is malty. Taste is malty with some hops. Gets some bonus for the labeling on this one, but not much else here. fiulijn (21506) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 31, 2015

Hazy amber color with medium head. The strong malty character of this beer and medium sweetness level, although both lovely, label this as an old school IIPA; the hops are strong, more resiny than else, a bit orangey too; the malts also have a mild biscuity note. The caramel still dominates the final. The alcohol is well conceived.
Excellent powerful beer, I wouldn’t drink more than a glass of it per session though.
