Copper colored pour. Flavors are odd. Like a fruity buttered popcorn. Berries, apples, butterscotch. Not sure about this brew. wavers1 (916) - Notown, California, USA - JUL 20, 2011
bottle courtesy of deyholla, thanks a ton! slightly tart, fruity and a tasd fynky, nice barrel presence as well. great brew, thought it would be a trainwreck but its actually very tasty and drinkable. nice and layered, maybe a tad hot or muddled, but overall a unique brew. caramel smell, pine trees, butter, weird and complex. DO NOT LIKE. DOES NOT COMPUTE. Rosebud butternuts (2396) - Denton, Texas, USA - JAN 10, 2011
bottle thanks to northernbrews. poured copper with a white head and some lace. flavor was caramel, bourbon, brown sugar, sweet, butter, and salt. flavor had a similar profile as the nose. slick body with low carbonation. thirdeye11 (6162) - Dallas, Texas, USA - OCT 23, 2010
(22oz bottle thanks to northernbrews) clear rich orange, ring of tan bubbles. Nose of butter, blackberry, bourbon, pencil shavings, barrel, wet wood, mild oxidation and moss. Taste of pine, alcohol, odd berry on the back end, brown sugar, bourbon, blackberry, and pipe tobacco. Very creamy body with a berry linger. My description makes it sound better than it was, which was just ok.

handbottle thanks to northernbrews. poured a crisp amber color with a white head. nose is bourbon, raspberries, blueberries, tart, and funky. nice thickness, raspberries, blueberries, followed by vanilla, and alcohol. Silphium (3199) - Traverse City, Michigan, USA - JUL 6, 2010
Bottle. Medium slightly hazy orange-red body, medium clumping off-white head. Sweet, biting nose, with notes of honey, berries, oak, and bourbon. Surprisingly dryish body with potent buttery oak, bourbon, and alcohol (antiseptic, band-aid quality) tending to dominate the berries, wet grass, and clover honey of the base beer. Buttery, tannic finish. Weird and not altogether pleasant. deyholla (12031) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - JUN 20, 2010
Bottle shared by Sean at the 2010 Summer Solstice. Poured a hazy red gold with a white head that quickly dissipated to the edge. Aroma had sweet grains and blueberries. Flavor was similar with a sweet blueberries and grains, kind of like a blueberry muffin. No presence of the bourbon barreling whatsoever.
