Tap. A dark and typical red ale. A mild body with a great aftertaste. A tan frothy head. Much better than Killian’s. BillKismet (4057) - Seattle, Washington, USA - JUN 25, 2007
Orange-maroon color with light head. Little detectable aroma or flavor, though no detracting characteristics ale--in other words, a fairly standard red ale, that is easy-drinking, mild, and medium-bodied. kosmoken (37) - USA - APR 10, 2007

Draught at Walnut Brewery. Pours red to mahagony and copper with a rocky thin off-white head. Caramel malt and citrus hop nose. Citrus hop and sour caramel malt grain body. Medium bodied and fizzy palate. NVBeer232 (467) - Reno, Nevada, USA - JAN 10, 2005
I’ll say it right off the bat, I’m a sucker for a well made irish red. Malty aroma. It almost smells red! Complex flavors of carmel, nuts, and earthy tones. Herbal hoppy finish. Only Conway’s Irish Ale beats this in my opinion. Aubrey (3516) - Bellingham, Washington, USA - OCT 20, 2003
DRAFT: Light copper and mostly clear with a thinnish head; some lace. Nicely carbonated. Healthy malt base. Notes of grain, caramel and wood. Slightly bitter hops were flavorful. CASK: Frothy, lasting head. Smooth and very earthy. A little musty. Candy corn sweetness exudes. Hops dry out the mouth a little in the finish. Pretty good.
