From a 375 ml bottle it is a shoe polishbrown with a slight head. The aroma is sweet with hints of raisins and the taste starts out nondescript on the sweet side and becomes string on the flavored of toffee and raisins with hints of dark fruits powerful finish very interesting Iphonephan (7560) - Jackson Hole/McLean, Virginia, USA - JAN 23, 2017
From a 375 ml bottle. Pours a murky brown with a tan head. Aroma of toffee and rasins. Flavors of dark fruits and cloves. Moderately sweet finish. deyholla (12804) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - OCT 8, 2016
Bottle. Pours a clear deep amber with a slight purple hue and a tan head that dissipates completely. Aroma has lots of sweet grains and raisins with a good amount of dark fruits and Belgian yeast. Flavor has a nice sweet grain and raisin combination with a hint of warming booze and Belgian yeast supporting. Cousin_Larry (895) - - JUN 6, 2016
Had a sample at WOBFest 2016. Seemed to be a little confused for a dubbel. Spice was a little too heavy and it lacked the plum flavor I tend to look for in this style.

Cage and corked 375 ml bottle with a production date of L 002 F N. No problem figuring that out, lol.
Big pop when I pulled the cork out, it pours a deep reddish brown with a good head of off white foam that disappeared in a blink of the eye. Thar be no lacing; contrary to what it says on the label.
Upon opening, the smell was hard to avoid. Super caramel malt with equally strong notes of dark fruits. .and a port like nose besieged my nose buds.
Caramel malt, dark fruit, flavours of Port, properties of some oxidation going on here. Medium carbonation? Nah. Pretty much flat but that’s not a big turnoff for me.
Very nice beer. Cuz of the lack of carbonation, it leans on the syrupy side and as far as it being too sweet, I don’t subscribe to that.
Worthy of a repurchase is my line of thought.

Appearance- Below average fizzy beige head, not long lasing with little lacing.
Aroma- Moderately sweet dark fruits, caramel, roasted malts, raisins.
Flavor- Raisins, prunes, figs, roasted malts, Belgium yeasts. Big sweet start with a somewhat bitter prunish finish. DenverLogan (1337) - North Bend, Washington, USA - SEP 14, 2015
From a 375ml into a Caracole tulip glass. Pours muddy brown with head and lace. Aroma of dark roasty malts, caramel, wet towel. Medium carbonation and mouthfeel. Flavors of rich malts, caramel, prunes, minerals, light field spices. Overall rich, flavorable, relatively smooth and tasty. Travlr (27139) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - AUG 2, 2015
Bottle. Dark brown color, beige head. Aroma of raisins, toffee. Taste has raisins, dates, caramel. Light body. OK. Pumpkin87 (250) - - AUG 1, 2015
Pours opaque brown with thin tan head that disappears quickly. There is some residual carbonation, or at least pepperiness, but not the purported sheets of tight bubbles.
Aroma is pronounced raisins, caramel malt. Taste is sherry cola, with toast, dried fruit and that pepper, which unfortunately eats into what otherwise would be raisin unctuousness. The body is much lighter than expected, though the mouthfeel is slicker.
This is a beer that benefits from warming up a bit. But like some others here, I wonder about the packaging, specifically that faux cork plug. The "production date" is an indecipherable code, so I also wonder about the acrid finish.
Admittedly based on just one bottle, this isn’t a terrible homage to a Belgian dubbel, but not worth seeking out.
