better from wanaka, light hops with hints of citrus. still a very weak palate though. CJMunchel (51) - Indiana, USA - AUG 17, 2013
A crisp light beer to the consistency of bud light, with more hop flavor. Nice small white head when poured and a golden color. Would drink this beer at a party.

A nice pilsener! There’s more to it than just a Bohemian attitude, but not enough to drive it away from the style. Crisp, grassy, hoppy, very pleasant. DylansDad (670) - North Shore, Auckland, NEW ZEALAND - MAY 25, 2013
A refreshing easy-drinker. It is miles ahead of the macro crap in that it actually has good spicy hop bitterness, but the watery body is gone as soon as you taste it, taking all the flavour with it. I’d call this a good gateway beer. Idiosynkrasie (8198) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - FEB 14, 2013
330ml bottle (Thanx David). Clear golden colour with average to huge, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Floral and grassy hoppy aroma with a minimal citrusy touch. Taste is also hoppy with floral and grassy notes, additionally slightly strawy. Nicely hopped Bohemian Pilsener.

Malty and biscuit tones with nice NZ hops coming through. Pleasantly surprised about this. Pdubyah (834) - Auckland, NEW ZEALAND - JAN 5, 2013
I’d avoid this given a choice, it’s not even a beer that you could make up nice things about in polite company, in the unlikely event the brewer is reading this "sharpen up son" is what I’d say. walkingstd (20) - - MAR 25, 2012
Tried on tap at Kai in Wanaka after a football game. Crisp pilsner, hoppy aromas. Taste fades on palate after a while though

Served on tap at Cassels Brewery, aroma has very subtle hops. Minimal malt flavour, some yeast flavour, appearance is good, no head retention though. Taste is a good pilsner. Not very interesting but true to style and easy to drink. Have had it in Wanaka in a bottle before and from memory the head retention was better in a glass and more flavour. Good carbonation on the mouth. Better than Heineken. beer4eternity (226) - Tauranga, NEW ZEALAND - NOV 11, 2011
330ml bottle. Opaque golden hue with a thin white head which rapidly diminished to a thin creamy ring. Fresh malty aromas, white bread dough, lots of marshmallow, grassy, light floral. Tastes very nice; sweet with a long bitter finish. Palate is also very good; medium body, soft texture, lightly carbonated, long bitter astringent finish. Its been over 10 years since I previously experienced this beer at the brewery and the passion the brewer had for brewing then still seems to have made it into this bottle of Brewski. Good stuff.
