Deep (for cider) amber pour, nose of apple and honey. Powerful flavor, quite acidic and tart, just shy of fully dry. Massive apple taste, some apple skin. I had no clue this was nearly 10% -- could be dangerous that way because it is quite easy drinking.

Clear golden color, small white head. Apple, sweet scent. Apple, apple peel taste. Apple aftertaste. Medium mouthfeel, light tart finish.
On tap at PIB 2015, pours a clear pale yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out green apple skins and a touch of funk. Flavour is similar, with dry green apple skins and a touch of funk. Well-designed and highly quaffable. Very nice stuff. slowrunner77 (12466) - Reno, Nevada, USA - SEP 24, 2014
"Full flavor and aroma and slightly heavier body than i’m used to for a cider - no way I thought this was nearly 10%, though! Really nice all around. Bright vibrant fruit and great depth of flavor. Sweet and dry without being at all cloying. One of the better ciders I’ve had."

This cider has a bright orange appearance with a sparse carbonation. Aroma straddles the line between giant Belgian amber ale and apple brandy with distinct booze. Thick and hot on the palate with distinct notes of caramel apple, reminiscent of a green apple blow pop. This is a really unique cider which shows a true expression of this varietal. The high ABV lacquers it with sweetness which could become tiresome after 500ml. Still worth trying though. Mora2000 (6158) - McKinney, Texas, USA - OCT 22, 2012
Yellow with a small white head. The aroma has a nice mix of strong apple notes, as well as a bit of sugar. The flavor is full of deep apple flavor, with a hint of tartness and some noticeable alcohol notes. Easy drinking even though it is nearly 10 percent. mar (5434) - Dallas, Texas, USA - OCT 19, 2012
gold pour with a small white head that fades fast. nose is sweet, dry, honey, apple, lightly acidic, and fruity. very smooth on the palate, crisp, dry, tart, acidic, smooth finish. can’t tell it’s 9.8% at all. bvc (1242) - Washington, USA - AUG 15, 2012
500ml bottle. Pours a deeper clear golden with a slight caramel tint to it and no head, but a few tiny single bubbles. More toward the sweeter side of dry on the nose, touch of molasses, caramel, wild flower honey, fleshy apple aroma, almost apple sauce like, with subtle oak tannins. More dry up front than anything, mid palate shows some signs of the honey and molasses that were more dominate in the nose. Does finish with tannins but as it lingers on the palate, that turns into a nice apple skin flavor.
