Cask handpull at The Bull and Hide London as Wantsum Imperium, 4.0%. Shield pump clip. Dark amber, pretty much brown, translucent and still with a small foamy brown head. Aroma is bread crusts, chewed up bread and ryvita. Body is smooth with light carbonation. Taste is sugary, bready malt, seeded loaf, low bitterness with a slight figgy fruit note. Fair. Northbrook, Lee, London - amber brown pour with white head. Toasty malty aroma and taste, nutty, some caramel and toffee sweetness , slight grassy, twiggy and l hoppy, nutty, bitter finish. Ok.
Cask. Appearance is chestnut brown, one finger of a tight white head. Aromas of yeast, malt, hints of raisin. Taste is hop bitterness, hints of caramel, bit of toffee in the finish. Quite light on the palate. Solid bitter.
