Growler, Campground Brewdown. Medium beige head, cola black body. Aroma is medium sweet, roast, some coffee, caramel, light chocolate. Taste is moderately sweet, roast, caramel, some coffee. Light-medium body, some stickiness. jercraigs (10591) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 30, 2012
2012-08-18. Black body with a small tan head that fades. 3+ Dry dusty malt aroma with a light ve3getal touch. 6+ flavour is similar, dry dusty malt, light bitterness. Just okay, the malt profile is too dry and roasty for me, I’d like to see a bit more sweet malt to support it. Growler, Campground Brewdown 2012 GT (10000) - San Diego, California, USA - AUG 21, 2012
Growler at Campdown Brewdown. Poured a clear, deep cola brown. Nose is roasted and spicy with big malt presence. Taste is neutral, roasted. Palate is clean, thinner, sessionable. Ok. mabel (9246) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 29, 2012

(bottle - 22 oz) Deep chestnut brown pour with a thin but lasting tan head. Very mild coffee and roasted malt aroma with a subtle nutty hint at the end. A touch of chocolate malts as well. Roasted malt and chocolate combine in the flavor and are balanced rather well. Some mild sweet notes on the aftertaste. A bit thin-bodied but pretty tasty. 2010 Autumn Festival of Ales - Poured a translucent brown with a quickly disapating head. Roasted malt aroma. Very smooth and creamy mouthfeel. Chocolate and roasted malts in the flavor. Decent jb (3270) - Rochester, New York, USA - JUN 23, 2012
From a growler Brian picked up at the brewery. This stuff is awesome. Dark roasted notes in the nose along with coffee. Palate is rich and well balanced. Simple but great.

A: Dark Opaque hue, Creamy Brown Head, light Lacing
S: Dark Roasted Malts, Coffee
T: Coffee, Dark Malts
M: Decent Carbonation, Full Bodied, Coffee lingering
Overall, smoothe flavor and transition but drops off on the back end. A decent black lager with a coffee kick. pete4999 (1445) - Buffalo, New York, USA - DEC 1, 2011
22 oz bottle. Pours a nearly pitch-black with a coffee-colored head. Smells strongly of chocolate and tastes like it too. I’m really impressed with this - a bit thin and one-dimensional with the hard-hitting chocolate flavor, but it’s really good.
