COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
For all of you dark beer lovers out there, we present this smooth, full-bodied black beer with a clean, crisp finish. The malt is truly the star of this brew— a highly roasted malt and a dark crystal malt give it a unique roasted flavor of creamy smoothness. How did we balance this huge malt flavor? We blended American and German Hops! Brewed with Pale, Chocolate, and Dark Crystal malts. Hopped with American and German hops.

One word: coffee. Not my kind of beer, the very dark coffee taste is the centerpiece of this.

22 oz bottle. Pours a nearly pitch-black with a coffee-colored head. Smells strongly of chocolate and tastes like it too. I’m really impressed with this - a bit thin and one-dimensional with the hard-hitting chocolate flavor, but it’s really good.

From a growler Brian picked up at the brewery. This stuff is awesome. Dark roasted notes in the nose along with coffee. Palate is rich and well balanced. Simple but great. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

[4706-20120818] Growler. Smoked roasty sweet grains aroma. Dark brown body with a quick foamy off-white head. Roasted dry wood flavour initially followed by sweet roast earthiness. Full body. Interesting to sample. (6/3/7/3/15) 3.4+

Dark brown and clear with a quickly disappating light brown head. Roasted malt, caramel, and nutty aromas. Hoppy bitterness upfront and on the finish. Not bad. Actually better than I expected.

(bottle - 22 oz) Deep chestnut brown pour with a thin but lasting tan head. Very mild coffee and roasted malt aroma with a subtle nutty hint at the end. A touch of chocolate malts as well. Roasted malt and chocolate combine in the flavor and are balanced rather well. Some mild sweet notes on the aftertaste. A bit thin-bodied but pretty tasty.

Growler at Campdown Brewdown. Poured a clear, deep cola brown. Nose is roasted and spicy with big malt presence. Taste is neutral, roasted. Palate is clean, thinner, sessionable. Ok.
