Ingredients are normally comprised of pale (Halcyon and/or Otter), lager, mild and crystal malts. Chocolate malt is used in varying quantities to add varying depth of ruby colouring to the beer. Hops are Goldings and/or Fuggles. The strong ales are fermented down from stronger worts to give higher ABV beers.
