The looks of the beer are rather simple. The color of the beer is golden yellow. The beer is quite clear. I nice amount of gas bubles can be seen rising to the top clearly. The beer pours a lot of rough white foam. The bulk of the foam collapses, but a decent drape of foam remains to cover the beer. The smell is rather mild. I smell some bready malt aromas. Above this, there are some nice fresh hop aromas. The hops have some earthy tones. There is also a strong nutty aromas. Ive never ever experienced this nutty aroma. It is a blend between roasted almonds and roasted peanuts. It is very nice and new to me. This nuttiness is also present in the taste. It is even stringer in the taste than it was in the smell. It is a unique blend between, as said before, peanuts and almond, and maybe even some hazelnuts. The nutty flavor is extra strong at the end of the taste, and continues during the aftertaste. The start of the taste mainly contains a fresh and fruity hop flavor. The palate is just right. The amount of gas is just enough to give the nuttiness a little kick. All in all, a very nice beer, but not at all as Ive expected. I expected more of an IPA kind of beer, but this is nice to. I like it.

500 ml bottle from The Beer Store (as Double Hopped). Pours a clear, bright golden colour with good white head. Aroma is grassy, slightly herbal hops and some sweetish graininess. Flavour starts with sweet grains which quickly gives way to assertive grassy hops with a touch of herbal character. Moderate bitterness in finish. A better version of the usual Euro lagers we get at the LCBO.
