Astaldo's rating

Astaldo (165) - Bremen, - JUL 29, 2013
Woah, this is "herb" indeed! Lots of hops in the nose, and great hoppy bitterness! The body could be a bit thicker, but otherwise a nice hoppy experience.

beerstar88 (587) - Bavaria, GERMANY - MAY 12, 2017
Goldgelb im Glas mit schwach haltender Schaumkrone. Grasig frischer Antrunk, sehr wässriger Körper, der sofort von der unrunden Hopfenbittere getoppt wird. Doppelt gehopft mit Hopfenextrakt.

sawyerpc15 (113) - Bowser, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 8, 2017
It was marketed as double hopped in Canada. Good typical German beer that I would have trouble differentiating it from their regular beer.

czlowiekwiadro (935) - POLAND - MAY 4, 2017
zapach delikatny, lekko przytęchły, lekkie słody, trochę kurzu, cukru pudru i niewiele poza tym. kolor złoty, dość głęboki, piana biała, średnia, dość obfita i stara się być trwała. w smaku półwytrawne, lekko słodowe, bardzo wyraźne i dziwne roślinne posmaki: rzeżucha, kalarepa, łuski ze słonecznika, kiełki rzodkwi, do tego gumowy wąż. całość sprawia wrażenie dość ostrej, bardzo agresywne i gryzące. goryczka średnia, roślinna, zielona, ostra i gryząca. nasycenie wysokie.

niquillis (2679) - Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire, ENGLAND - APR 11, 2017
Keg at Holstein Kiel, Kiel. Pours golden with a white head. Typical industrial German pils, dry and gassy.

Lore (2664) - Budapest, HUNGARY - MAR 27, 2017
clear brighter golden colour, large, stable white head; aroma of grains, grassy and citrusy, as well as cardboard notes; taste is dominated by bitterness with unfortunately metallic-artificial notes and some spicy-peppery aftertaste; not bad, but will not be my favourite

blackbock (132) - Shoalhaven NSW, AUSTRALIA - MAR 19, 2017
(Bottle) Aroma, taste and appearance identical to the regular lager from this brewer. I struggled to identify the extra bitterness/hopping suggested by this beer’s name. Another taster suggested this beer was too sweet! The mind boggles at marketers...

midovark (883) - Balassagyarmat, HUNGARY - MAR 9, 2017
0.5 l can. I only took numerical notes while having this one. Therefore: --

Cristobal37 (1117) - Budapest, HUNGARY - MAR 5, 2017
Can. Aroma is mineral water rich in iron. Pale yella. Average pils with nice rich classic Hallertau bitterness. Satisfying, but nothing special.

JoeMcPhee (9426) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 20, 2017
Very pale straw colour. The aroma is light and slightly herbal. A touch of grassiness and a moderate hoppiness. There’s a little bit of light hay flavour in the malt. Very clean finish. It’s not so different from the regular but it’s pleasant enough. Warming intensifies the hop aroma and bitterness.

Oakes (17274) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JAN 11, 2017
Can, LDB. Bright golden. Smells like hop extract. Tastes like hop extract, all herbal and no brightness. Heavy pale malts. A bit stale and heavy...not actually that appetizing as a pilsner.
