Thick mouthfeel, slighty sour and spicy, with hoppy citrus finish. Tasty oktoberfest Krazyjon (11) - Pensacola, Florida, USA - SEP 17, 2008
I’m a big Marzen fan, and jumped on this the first time it came to town. Sadly, it’s pretty weak as far as Marzens are concerned. Really lacks the barley richness others have. A good session beer probably, but nothing special. JFGrind (2046) - Glenside, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 16, 2008
Never had this one from the old country. Mild sweet malts, golden body and light bitterness. Anymore I get confused with Marzens/O-fests, the American versions seem to pack much more flavor than the German ones. And Warsteiner Oktoberfest is typical run of the mill Marzen beer. aplusbreaks (330) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - SEP 15, 2008
Pours a light golden amber with a small head. Aromas of some malt and doughy yeast. Flavor is dissapointing light malts. A below average marzen style oktoberfest. wxman (1819) - O’Fallon, Illinois, USA - SEP 13, 2008
Pours a deep golden color with, like their premium beer, a thick white head that doesn’t stick around. Aroma is sweet malt and not much else. Taste is sweet malt and caramel with some faint hop bitterness. Refreshing and unoffensive, but no Oktoberfest characteristics whatsoever. I wish these German pils factories would leave this sort of thing to the Bavarian brewers.

Pretty lousy marzen. Very light color. Light hay aroma and flavor, no richness. otismulligan (34) - Yardley, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 7, 2008
Bottle, poured. Light head, not dark. more of a golden-pumpkin color. light body, lively, thin feel, abrupt finish. Not bad, but not a good octoberfest. More of a basic german lager. Gryffyn (21) - , New York, USA - SEP 6, 2008
Light in color for an oktoberfest it seems. Drinkable, but bitter. Probably better with food. SSSteve (4006) - - SEP 6, 2008
pours a clear amber/gold under a large sudsy white head. aroma is lager-like with a sweetened toffee note. malty flavor with the toffee note showing again. not that tasty. unclemattie (4358) - Georgia, USA - SEP 4, 2008
Tap @ Tacomac, johnscreek. pours clear, golden color. White head. Aroma of a premium lager. Bread and grassy hops. Flavor of a hugely malted lager. Pale malt and that’s all. If you poured a Bud, Coors, and MGD in one glass, pose it as a Märzen and this is what ya got. Boring, plain, and uninspiring. Don’t waste your time, unless you wanted a cheep rating like I did.
