2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Heavy fizz in this one, guys. A little bit of bitter carbonation on the nose and taste, but with a nicely balanced flavor to round it out. Worth trying for sure.
Tart, light on the palate. Doesn't make a strong impression though also doesn't feel like you could drink it all night.

On tap @ Prost! Pours clear medium golden with thick lacy white head. Aroma is lightly toasted malt, typical marzen notes are present but very light. Taste is likewise - nice standard caramel marzen, but pretty light overall. wombat23 (1511) - Texas, USA - OCT 29, 2016
33cl bottle. Pours a clear straw color with a white head. Aroma and taste of biscuit, light malt, grass. Light-bodied and very drinkable. J_man (1008) - Tustin, California, USA - OCT 12, 2016
Good German malt aroma from a crystal clear yellow/gold body with a foamy white head. Good Oktoberfest flavor with a creamy body and good, somewhat assertive, earthy hops. You can taste the higher alcohol here and it matches the beer well. Lingering malty and spicy hop aftertaste. Very good Oktoberfest. wattoclone (21) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 2, 2016
A great oktoberfest, coppery amber with a small white head. Aroma is malt and caramel. Taste is nutty malt with a hint of honey and hop in the finish. Very similar to my favorite version of this style, Paulaner Wiesn, with a value price and a bit more cereal flavor. Considering I could get a case of the Warsteiner Oktoberfest for less than $1 a bottle with the rebate in 2015, I am a fan. Sadly, I have not seen it around at my favorite distributors in 2016.

This was poured into a mug.
The appearance was a golden yellow transparency about it. Carbonation could be seen rising at a moderate pace. A cap of a white head sustains and dissipates at a nice pace. Thin mild lace.
The aroma takes in sweet biscuity/bready thick maltiness flowing into semi-sweet to underscored grassy bitter hops. Light honey and floral.
The flavor revels in the balance of it all. Nice sweet smooth malty biscuit aftertaste. Sly semi-sticky finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a great sessionability about it . Low carbonation helps bring about smooth sweetness.
Overall, why argue with the Germans about if this is any good or not. For the style, one knows it’s top notch.
