A very nice crisp Oktoberfest style beer. Not as sweet as other Oktoberfests and is very smooth and drinkable. This is turning into a daily drinker while it is still available. Aroma is good caramel and aged - caramel finish that is neither too sweet nor too bitter.

Overall smells pretty clean and bready with only a hint of nuttiness and maybe a touch of caramel. Flavor is what you would expect from the nose. A very clean, crisp beer with a mild roasty and nutty character and just the tiniest bit of caramel sweetness. Extremely drinkable.

I really enjoy this beer. It got a great rich flavor and I have to say its the best Oktoberfest beer out there.

A really great beer. It really hit the palate during the Oktoberfest tour. I would have it again if offered

I didn't take any extra notes when I tried this beer for the first time but I'm gonna try it again and update my comments. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This was poured into a mug. The appearance was a golden yellow transparency about it. Carbonation could be seen rising at a moderate pace. A cap of a white head sustains and dissipates at a nice pace. Thin mild lace. The aroma takes in sweet biscuity/bready thick maltiness flowing into semi-sweet to underscored grassy bitter hops. Light honey and floral. The flavor revels in the balance of it all. Nice sweet smooth malty biscuit aftertaste. Sly semi-sticky finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a great sessionability about it . Low carbonation helps bring about smooth sweetness. Overall, why argue with the Germans about if this is any good or not. For the style, one knows it’s top notch.

wattoclone (21) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 2, 2016
A great oktoberfest, coppery amber with a small white head. Aroma is malt and caramel. Taste is nutty malt with a hint of honey and hop in the finish. Very similar to my favorite version of this style, Paulaner Wiesn, with a value price and a bit more cereal flavor. Considering I could get a case of the Warsteiner Oktoberfest for less than $1 a bottle with the rebate in 2015, I am a fan. Sadly, I have not seen it around at my favorite distributors in 2016.

Cybercat (5887) - Georgia, USA - OCT 2, 2009
UPDATED: NOV 20, 2010 Comes out of the tap a clear dark golden amber with a fine-bubbled pale beige head. Aroma is malty, slightly fruity and slightly hoppy. Strong, malty flavor has undertones of apple and pear and a hint of hops. Smooth, fizzy, lively texture leaves behind a nice tingle.

First time I had this was at a oktoberfest celebration in nj outside in the rain poured from the tap of a beer truck. I only recall such detail if the beer was amazing.

On tap at the Lime Spider in Akron. Good, smooth taste. Kind of pumpkiny. Went down fast.
