JPDIPSO (6286) - Wauwatosa, USA - DEC 13, 2002
Tap. Light brown color with a bone colored, wispy head. Light caramel and nutty aroma. Typical caramel flavor without a lot of malt depth. Finishes quite dry and clean with only a bit of bitterness and light acidity.

Slick (1969) - Thief River Falls, Minnesota, USA - DEC 9, 2002
An all around good beer with a nice dark color, malty aroma and taste with a slight bitter after taste that fades fast.Well worth another try at the store

Good lager nothing to write home about though...............................

Sturgess (173) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 1, 2002
A nice darker beer...it's a serious lager, and it's got a nice afteraste to it. Not much of a head on it, but good consistency.

They said I have to improve my ratings. Ok. The aroma of this beer is good. The appearance of this beer is good. The flavor of this beer is good. The palate of this beer is good. My overall impression is a positive one. So there.

Nuffield (4195) - Roseville, Minnesota, USA - NOV 21, 2002
After a lovely cascade-like head effect, the head burns off and you've got yourself a malty lager, with a mild aroma and very few flavors of note. The palate is especially disappointing, being a bit thicker than lager, but watery and dull. Skip this one.

4.2
Braudog (6834) - Yorktown, Virginia, USA - NOV 15, 2002
Orlando Beer Fest: Smooth, light bodied pleasant dark beer..................

3.5
kmeves (1098) - Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin, USA - NOV 9, 2002
A very light German Dunkel. Not bad for the price, but a very simple flavor on the palate.

In the summer and fall, I can always find a safe and welcoming home for a good dunkel. Warsteiner's runs, I think, middle of the road. Nice nutty flavors around the flavor profile ... but there was a distracting metallic flavor too. Hopped a little more than I expected but that really wasn't unpleasant. Very grainy with hints of caramel. Overall, this is decent dunkel.
