Pours a clear cola robe topped by a timid coarse whitish head showing low retention and lacing properties. Carbonation is medium. Nose is sweet dark bread with toasted nuts. Some burnt notes of barley. Very brothy backbone, tough. Taste is nutty and sweet. Dark bread, grassy hops, faint sour, medium body and quite sharp on the tongue. Medium toasted and grassy finish. Not bad. Cheers! anthony850 (471) - Andover, New Jersey, USA - APR 3, 2016

Alta drinkabilidade altonbrownd (5898) - Chevy Chase, Maryland, USA - JAN 30, 2016

Drank alone from 12oz bottle. Thick frothy light brown head which stays fairly well. Color is transparent, sierra brown. Taste includes some sourness but mostly malty rye turning to roastedness to then turn watery. A type of beer which makes you wonder why they import this from Germany when Northwest, California, Colorado, Dogfish Head, etc Beer is so good from America. 3.75 BD. artemb (904) - Chisinau, MOLDOVA - NOV 25, 2015
Aroma: roasted sunflower seed, oil, some funky notes.
Taste light sweetness, low bitterness, light sourness.
Flavour: roasted black bread, unrefined sunflower oil.
Not bad for macro. dnicolaescu (2520) - Chișinău, MOLDOVA - NOV 23, 2015
BOTTLE 33 CL. Clear chestnut brown, beige head. Warm toasted bread aroma, a little oily, fecal and spicy. The taste is clearly toasted bread crust, slightly sweet with notes of almond/marzipan. The finish is light bitter with roasty and spicy hoppy notes. Regular lager body with average carbonation. Pretty nice. tysongillmore (362) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - NOV 21, 2015
I didn't take any extra notes when I tried this beer for the first time but I'm gonna try it again and update my comments.

Bottle poured into a brandy snifter. The beer is a clear, dark brown with a grey head of foam. Decent retention. The aroma has some burnt toast character, and a nutty, toffee-like nuance. The taste has moderate sweetness levels. There is a touch of bitterness at the very end. Lighter in body and medium to high carbonation.
