(Bottle) Pours a clear golden body with a moderate white head. Aroma of grass and caramel. Slightly sweet malt flavor.

UPDATED: JUN 26, 2005 (Bottle 50 cl) Bright, pale golden with a rather subdued head. Soft and slightly sweetish. But first and foremost this is mild - much milder than the typical North-German pilsener. Only a discreet hoppy finish. Very pleasant. 141099 and 100205

Prugel (13) - NETHERLANDS - MAY 27, 2005
a very clear beer with a bit dusty taste in the beginning. Easy drinkable. A pretty good pilsner in my opinion.

KariCupcake (214) - Lenox, Massachusetts, USA - MAY 22, 2005
Had this in Paris near the Eiffel Tower. OMG it was just like PBR! Loved it! I only wish it was PBR, so it loses points for not being THE PBR.

I really should just give up on German pilsners. Noble-type hop aroma and flavor are quite obvious. Despite the malty back flavor, this beer is just too one-dimensional, way too hoppy, almost skunky. It’s pretty, to be sure -- pretty average. Better than Budweiser, but not worth the price.

Lubiere (14110) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 20, 2005
In can at the CBC studio in Ottawa. Golden lager with a crisp hoppy aroma, German in style. Good bready malt with sharp german hops, crisp and refreshing in mouth. Medium bodied. Thanks to our CBC!

arjoseph (642) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAY 19, 2005
On tap into Shaker glass, Beer Sellar, Nashville TN. Pale yellow with a white head, mostly diminishing. Yeast, orange peel in the nose. Flavor was a nice intensity (yeasty, lemony with a bit of Munich malt), but the body was light and watery.

rederic (3340) - montréal, Quebec, CANADA - MAY 17, 2005
Bright pale yellow color, big foamy head, with good lace, floral hay, herbal, pale malt follows throughon a light-bodied palate with sweet pale malt and crisp floral hop in a light bitter finish.

Big head; but has a bland taste .

On tap at the Pizza Iolanda near the Eiffel Tower. Ordered the "serieux" size. Cear yellow color with a thick head. Smells like PBR. Clean taste. Nothing special until the big malt burst in the aftertaste.
