nice pilsner, aroma hmm so so , taste is allright nice maltsweetness hopbitter, good balance and carbonation. finish is almost lingering, for a pilsner a good thing. TheBeerOrg (2145) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - MAY 11, 2005
Golden straw coloured with a massive white head that stands proudly for several minutes snubbing its nose to American macrobrew imposters. Little aroma and a simple balanced flavour. Similar to Becks and St.Pauli’s, if you like Pilsners you will appreciate this beer, I still prefer the Dunkel. Not exotic or memorable enough to drink as a celebratory beer, but if you’re going to drink alot of German beer on tap, this would be a good choice. highlandlad (1480) - Blue Mountains, AUSTRALIA - MAY 3, 2005
Ho-hum German pils. Pale gold, short head. Light, hoppy nose with some hay-like notes and peaches. Thin bodied, no length. Unremarkable. dm9831 (1512) - Monee, Illinois, USA - MAY 1, 2005
yellow color, no aroma, elusive flavor. can this even be considered a beer? RAYBOY01 (2010) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAY 1, 2005
UPDATED: SEP 8, 2005 Way too light and timid. Or maybe this isn’t the best choice to be following an Imperial IPA? But a decent hop bitterness turns things around for me in the end.

pale, golden, clear, white foam, light body, fizzy, thin feel. pretty good i think. decent. stoutchap (424) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - APR 27, 2005
Poured very light gold - totally clear, some bubbles, decent head. No appreciable aroma, but nothing offensive either. Solid taste, nice hoppy finish. Drinkable and refreshing. I agree with the slogan on the bottle, "life is too short to drink cheap beer," but am not sure it applies to this one. Decent. darkko (99) - Kingsport, Tennessee, USA - APR 26, 2005
Aroma and color are like an American macro. Slightly corny, and very light gold. Flavor is grainy(corn)? with low hoppiness and maltiness. Like it has been diluted with water. A German version of Coors. Not terrible. But not what I would consider an example of true German style. ontario102 (794) - Boise, Idaho, USA - APR 24, 2005
Grassy and lemony aroma; somewhat on the sweet side, initially, finishes a tad dry and simple; crispy, clean, and drinkable RateandPillage (426) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - APR 21, 2005
Pours clear straw-yellow in color with decent white head. Slightly malty aroma with a little hops. Good balance in the flavor as well. Nice, crisp, and refreshing. There are much better Pilseners out there, but I don’t think this is as bad of an example of many of the other raters.
