I buy cases of this quite frequently. Decent beer. Not overly flavorful or aromatic. Pours with a very little head, and neither bitter nor sweet at all. Pretty standard all around. I prefer it to Heineken or Grolsch, so tend to buy it here more often.

A nice refreshing drink when chilled on a hot day. Im not a fan of bitter or citrus hops and this pilsener is only a little bitter to me. Im a fan of Kolsch beers and this is similar in style except for the slightly bitter aftertaste. Whats great is its a beer my wife and I both enjoy. bread, dough, golden, clear, white foam, minimal head, lightly bitter, light sweetness, light body, thin feel, average carbonation, bitter,

Canned. If you come across a beer these days that isnt particulary bad, that qualifies as alright. This one is quite alright.

330 ml from bottle, has expired. Average Pilsener aroma, not complex. Bitter taste, malty hint. There is not a lot to rate. Average beer, but drinkable.

I brew my own beer occasionally and yet I have to say that this is my all-time favorite beer. My oebr; rly problem is that I have a hard time finding it locally. Seems as if the stores dont see it flying off the shelves, they dont keep it on hand. But make no mistake, this is a true German Pilsner, brewed to the highest German standards; which are far superior to our own. Love it, just tell me where to buy it.

Bottle, 660ml. Pours translucent yellow/gold with a huge frothy white head and loads of visible carb, large bubbles. Some patchy lacing. Aroma is light bready malt and damp carboard. Very light honey. Somewhat metallic bitterness but no hops other than that. Little bit of earth maybe? Could be worse. Taste is slightly sweet malt leading to a bitter middle and some lingering metallic bitterness in the long, wet finish. Body is light-medium, texture is watery and carbonation is surprisingly soft, but its smooth enough. Best I can describe this as is "damp".

330 ml bottle into lager glass, best before 6/15/2017. Pours fairly crystal clear pale golden/straw color with a 1 finger dense white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass. Aromas of cracker, lightly toasted biscuit, light honey, light pepper, and herbal/grassy earthiness. Slight fruitiness in the nose, but pretty minimal. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of pale malt and earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of cracker, lightly toasted biscuit, light honey, light pepper, and herbal/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate herbal/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of cracker, lightly toasted biscuit, pepper, and herbal/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice robustness and balance of pale malt and earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero astringent flavors after the finish. Moderate dryness from bitterness, increasing through the glass. Very clean on lager flavors, with zero yeast notes present. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately crisp, and fairly grainy/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is good. A little thin, but not watery feeling. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.8%. Overall this is a good German pilsener style. All around good robustness and balance of pale malt and earthy hop flavors; very smooth, crisp, clean, and refreshing to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering, and spot on style example.

Bottle. Pale yellow in colour. Malty; grainy malts, slightly buttery taste. Hoppy; grassy hops. Sweet malty leading to mild hop bitterness. Refreshing. Dry mildly bitter hoppy finish. Easy drinking. (2009-06)
