Spoons under the library, Birmingham, 23/11/12. Scummy-headed copper gold. Buttered pub dog aroma. Great, slighly rauched chocolate and grilled pepper flavour though. Trace of dank. Lingers long and Germanically. Burnt herbal sausage. All over the shop but beer should ultimately be judged by flavour.

Cask conditioned at a Wetherspoons. Amber with no head. Almost too cold to hold, got white fingers whilst drinking this. Tasted old and tired, presumably because it’s been hanging around a cellar for some time. Some boiled malts, fruity, tart notes. A bit of a let down on the evening. thepegjett (1281) - Cambridge (via Winnipeg), Cambridgeshire, ENGLAND - NOV 26, 2011
