Bottle. Pours opaque black with small light brown head. Aroma is malt, caramel, soy sauce and bread. Taste is light sweet, medium bitter and faint acidic. Body is oily with soft carbonation. Finish is long and mostly bitter with notes that follow the nose plus notes of licorice, anise and gravy.

Black, no real head. Thin body, low carbonation. Slightly metallic. A bit of malt. No smoke or bitterness.

Bottle. No head. Pitch black body. Odd vedgetable aroma and flavor with little hops bitterness, low carbonation and a short finish. Had expected smoke elements but the only got som cardboard notes. Alcohol well hidden though.

Bottled. Ambery brown colour with a small off-white head. Aroma is caramel malts, some mild toasted notes, a bit sugary notes as well as some slight ripe fruits and wood. Flavour is very sweet malts, burnt sugar, alcohol as well as some slight toasted and mildly herbal notes. Gets some mild metallic notes as well when it warms up.

50 cl, flaske, 8,0 % ABV, købt i SuperBest i Rotunden i Hellerup, 17. december 2014. Sortbrun ufiltreret Abbey Dubbel/skibsøl med flot minimal moccafarvet skumtop på 1 cm, som svinder til bobler og kant efter kort tid. Fin rolig i glasset. Dejlig duft af frugt, tjære, lakrids og kaffe. Lidt som: belgisk Dubbel møder Limfjorsporter'en. Smagen er præget af noget syrlighed, en lille sødme og noget mørk "stout-agtigt". Og i dén rækkefølge. Intet surt i smagen. Velkarboneret på et niveau en anelse under medium og med en middel fyldig krop. Konsistensen er oily, og eftersmagen er medium lang og bittersød til "bitterstout". Faktisk en yderst delikat og vellykket øl, som fortjener stor anerkendelse. Nej, hvor ville jeg gerne have at nogen legede med denne øl i.f.t. lagring på træfade.

2011 Bottle @ Too many Geuze’s - only one toilet , Ulfborg 2012. Dark, clear brown color with a quickly diminishing head. Aroma and taste omostly malty, sweet, bread notes, lots of caramel, some coffee. Moderate bittereness.

Bottle at Bjergtrolden, thanks Thomas E. Clear redbrown with a small beige head. Aroma medium malty (caramel, brown sugar, roasted, notes of smoke). Flavor almost heavy sweet, light smoky. Thin body depiste the strength. warming alcohol. Quite special, not unpleasant.
