Tried at the pub. Curious roasted mix of nut, peat and earth. Darker brown, porter like look. Has some Irish ale characteristics: nutty with earthy cigars. Killians came to mind, but it’s too light being a lager. Murphy’s Red is a better comparison. Mid weight fluffy body. Different from the heavy browns in a refreshing way. 12 ounce bottle. Thanks Dallas! Pours reddish brown with an average biege head. Aroma of malt, caramel, and nuts. Taste is roasted malt, caramel, nuts, and some chocolate. Pretty decent! Itzjerm (3126) - Taft, Tennessee, USA - MAR 5, 2013
This is rated as being a session beer. As such it is surprisingly good. A bit bitter. A bit thin but carbonation is used to counter this. Aroma very nice thin fading head. For a low gravity brown pretty good

Toasty aroma, with some caramel. The toasted character is not as dominant in the flavor; more balanced with biscuit, roasted, caramel, and sweet malt flavors. Some herbal hop flavor. Sledutah (7841) - Utah, USA - MAR 20, 2012

Taste: Toasted malts and nutty
Nice and clean, mild and easy drinking.
Bottle from a trade with Gription79. Pours clear medium brown color with tan head. Toasted malt aroma with some bready yeast. Toasted malt flavor with some nuttiness. Light to.medium body with average carbonation. Thanks Dallas. 5000 (6862) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - NOV 26, 2011
Bottle:   Deep chestnut, moderate finely bubbled head, decent lacing.   Malty nose, rather nutty.
Certainly comes across as a Brown.   Low hop on the tongue, as expected, nice malt backing, a little nutty, slight
hint of chocolate malt.   Falls off quickly, flavorwise.   Fairly clean, a little bit of earth on the finish.
Could be a bit bigger in body as it does seem on the lighter side.   Okay beer, but very mediocre.
Nothing to set it apart from others.   Wouldnt pass it down if offered, but wouldnt seek it out again. Ibrew2or3 (8828) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - NOV 1, 2011
12oz bottle pours a nice clear brown with copper hues and tan head. The aroma offers up a bit of esters and then some dusty nuttiness, nut shells, earthy malts and some roasted malts. The taste has a nice rich mix of roasted malts, nuttiness and a bit of earthy malts. It then picks up a brief poke of esteriness before it gets a dryer sensation with some astringent roasted malts. Interesting brown. hoptimus_prime (73) - Utah, USA - MAR 28, 2011
12 oz..bottle. pours a see through brown, off head. nose is dry roast lightly sweet. taste is boneless roastiness, lightly nutty, carmel malt and semi-sweet. nothing to offend here, meh. cballatore (15) - Phoenix, Alabama, USA - MAR 18, 2011
Smells mild and smooth with a nuttiness. Pours dark brown with average head. Smooth bittery drink with no standout flavors. Tastes like an amalgam of different nutty flavors and spices with no standout characters. Finish has a short bite. Not a huge fan, or critic.
