Offered from January 15-through May 1st. This ale has the perfect blend of caramel & chocolate malts, which creates a smooth, nutty palate with ample additions of Willamette hops for their spicy aromatics.

12oz Bottle. poured a clear reddish brown with a small diminishing amber head. Aromas of toasted malt, caramel and nuts. Palate was light bodied and smooth. Flavors of toasted malt, caramel and a hint of chocolate with a smooth finish.

Pours a medium brown color with a fizzy tan head. Aroma is oversweet with cheap chocolate and a peanut butter note. Lightly roasty. Flavor is sweet too with chocolate and bready malts and a very nutty character. Finishes sticky with a roasted tinge and not much hoppiness. Thinnish, high carbonation, very average.

Meh - it’s a brown. What can you say about a brown ale? Just a little roasty, just a little toasty, just a little hoppy just a little sloppy. Malt is nice, sweet and flavorful.

On draft at "A Bar Named Sue." Brown with ruby tones. Small head, dissipated quickly. Toasted malts interlaced with notes of caramel malt. Restrained bitterness. Fruity hop presence. Light in body, and mouthfeel. A great lil’ 4.)% brown ale.

Nice clear brown color topped by a creamy beige head that leaves a nice layer of lasting foam. Toasty, nutty, and lightly roasty malt aroma with some sweet darker caramel as well. NIcely malty and light-medium sweet with a nutty and caramel flavor finishing more toasty and a little on the dry side. The body is medium-light and the lack of alcohol is easily perceived despite the still ample body and malt flavor. Not bad at all, though pretty innocuous, though what can you expect?

Bottle: auburn color with a nice head. Nose of caramel and thin body. The flavor is balanced, but in a you can’t taste anything way. Chewy flavor, metallic raisin and some stale hop notes. Not that exciting, especially since it seems like most brewers really pride themselves on brown ales in the state.

Bottle; poured a dark cola brown. Off white head. Very nice aroma. Caramel, cola, cocoa, with a nice sweetness. Flavor similar, but not quite as quality.

Brown pour with a medium off white head. Strong honey notes, buckwheat pancakes and freshly made waffles. Flavor is heavy on the waffle notes. Wheres the maple syrup! I actually like the waffle/pancake notes here.
