The fossil record proves one thing: that beer alone is responsible for the evolutionary leap from ape to man. This malty Amber is our tribute to Charles Darwin, evolution and perfection. Enjoy!

At Cowboy’s Smokehouse, Panguitch. Pours hazy amber with a lasting, foamy, off-white head. The light aroma contains caramel, nuts, malt and hops. It tastes medium sweet and very light bitter with a short finish. Light body, slick/watery texture, soft carbonation. Lacking some taste evolution...

Pours a finger of head on a clear dark straw body. Aroma is mild caramel. Taste is caramel and kind of malty. Texture is crisp. A solid amber ale.

bottle @ Calandro’s / Baton Rouge LA --- Clear bourbon-colored amber, ivory head that sinks quickly to a thin cover, strands of lace. Taste is malt, mild carbonation, and light hops. A simple, light-bodied brew. Nice for sessioning.

Bottle - Pours a medium to deep amber with off-white head. Some mild hints of caramel malts, toffee, pancakes. Flavors the same. I expected more, but I realize it’s probably better fresh/on tap.

Pours an Amber color. Slightly hazy and cloudy. About one finger lightly foamy white head. Short lived. Low retention. But pretty good retention of bubbles around edges of glass. Very light lacing.

Aroma is cracker and toffee. Both are pretty light.

Taste is light. Light cracker, light toffee. Light floral hops.

Mouthfeel is light to medium. It’s not bitter. It’s semi dry, and clean.

Overall, it’s okay. Okay but underwhelming. There are many better options. I would not buy it again. For someone trying an amber for the first time, it would be ideal. Apart from that, I’d say it’s not worth it.

Thankfully the horrible taste of this Amber is only evident if you can choke down enough of this watered-down swill to finish the bottle. What a disappointment!

On tap at Wasatch, pours a clear orange amber with a small white head. Aroma and flavour of bready malts and no hops. Not much going on here. Meh.

Draft at the Ogden Raptors. Pours clear amber with a fizzy beige head. Tastes like bready malt, cutrus hops, a little nutty, and a little corn. Light/medium body and low carbonation. Smells like nutty, bready malt, corn, and a hint of citrus.

Bottle at Snowbird. Nice amber body with medium head. Nose is malty, caramel and citrus. Taste is malty, plums and caramel. Not great balance but okay.
