Draft at brewpub. Another stone cold killer. Pours yellow with a finger of white head and lots of effervescence. The taste is mellow but flavorful. The peppers give flavor without heat. They almost have a roasted quality. It pairs beautifully with the fish and chips. Clean finisher. Fantastic!

Sampled on draft. Pours a cloudy golden-orange color with a decently formed white head. The jalapeno really comes out on the aroma. Smells very nice and I have to give them credit here because a lot of pepper beers fail at that. The flavor has a pale malt base that gives way to a solid jalapeno punch. Very fresh-tasting. Smooth and creamy on the mouthfeel with medium-light body. This is a subtle but very well-done beer overall. Doesn’t try to do too much, and I respect that. Very drinkable pepper session beer.

Not bad as far as jalapeno beers go, but the style isn’t really my thing. Vegetal peppery aroma and a light spicyness at the end. Tried at Krug with the parents in 2016.

Clear dark golden color. Love by he strong green pepper flavor and jalapeno burn. Very strong. Just pepper on the nose. Light base beer that doesn’t get in the way.

on tap in park city 7/21/10.
pale copper tinted golden with a white head and a ton of lace.
it smells immediately of capsicum... followed by green peppery heat, vegetal sweetness, malt, florals and a faint earthy/savory/umami thing going on.
the flavor has some spiciness but the pepper feels sweeter and juicy rather than hot. the finish is full of black peppercorn which lingers in the aftertaste with some earthiness.
creamy and smooth are balanced by the light spice. nice. 6.5/3/6.5/3/15/3.3+

On tap @ 1702 - Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a small off white head. Nice layered lacing. Aroma is light grain and chili pepper. Flavor is lightly sweetened malt and light jalapeno. Very little heat. Smooth finish, medium body. Probably the best chili beer I’ve had.

[Tap] Sampled on tap at 1702 in mid-January. Clear, golden pour with a small pillow of white head. Spicy pepper aroma with general pepper heat in the aroma. The taste is of jalapeno, green peppers, vegetables, grassy notes and light caramel. Persistent pepper heat throughout the flavor grows more intense in the finish. Decent mouthfeel and palate. Pretty good for the style. Definitely one of the better pepper beers I have had.

March 28, 2015 - taster pour at the Rare Beer Fest in St. Paul. Brownish orange pour with some head. Reminded me of a jalapeno popper, which worked for me.

on tap at 1702(14Jan11) pours pale gold with a medium to thin white head. Aroma is light with some grassy malts, hay and vegetation notes in the vein of bell pepper. Flavor is where the pepper comes into play. I was eating a tomato, spinach and feta pizza so the salty/oil and vinegar of the pizza was cut nicely by the pale malt and creamy wheat flavors with just a hint of pepper spice, a little bit of heat at the end with lingering green pepper skins. Interesting and highly drinkable.
