This is a fairly good porter. Dark brown with tan head and coffee aroma. Full of chocolate and coffee flavors. Has a somewhat sweet taste.

Type: 16-oz. draft (I think) Glass: Wasatch Brewery slightly curved shaker glass From: Gordon Biersch in the Salt Lake City, Utah airport Price: $6.50 Purchased: April 30, 2017 Consumed: April 30, 2017 Reviewed as: American Porter Misc.: N/A Grabbed this while on a layover in the Salt Lake City, Utah airport. Went for here because most of the underage people I was traveling with were at different concourses. Had seen this before, but I think this was the first time I had tried it. Maybe way back in the day on another trip to Utah. Poured a dark brown color with 3-to-4 fingers of rocky khaki head when I got it. Serene setting underneath. Outstanding spotty lacing. Almost perfect retention. (Sight - 4.50) Smelled cocoa, milk chocolate, toffee, brown bread, nutty malts and maybe even a touch of vanilla. A tad light, but that is expected for 4.0 pct. ABV. (Smell - 3.75) Taste was not quite as good. Hard to get that much flavor into a 4.0 pct. porter I bet. Got cocoa, chocolate milk, nutty malts, light coffee, even hints of vanilla, and semi-char wood. (Taste - 3.25) Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long slightly roasty finish. (Feel - 3.50) Not as bad as I thought it would be. Not quite as thick as I’d want it, but I enjoyed it. (Overall - 3.50) 3.52 80 B

Tap at corner bar with commonmac during March madness. Dark brown black with creamy off white head. Malt nose. Taste is muted sweetness, roasted malt, watery chocolate. Creamy but thin. Quick weak finish. It’s a good thing i have other wives to choose from.

Brown to umber in color. Taller and stable tight bubbled tan head. Roasted malt and touch of raw veggies in the aroma. Decent roasted malt flavors. Fairly acidic. Not bad, just not very interesting. 7/11

Bottle: Very dark brown with a small beige head. Chocolate, dark baked bread aroma. Nut bread, chocolate malt taste.... Drinks with a surprisingly nice heft for such a light-weight.....pretty rich tasting.... Not bad at all.

Bottle at Snowbird Ski Area. Nice dark brown body with slight head. Nose is malty, coffee, caramel. Taste is malty and dark chocolate and coffee. Bitter in the finish.

*From notes* Thanks to Francis for bringing this back for me. Pours black with no head Not much smell maybe a little chocolate and burnt malt, maybe. Watery with no taste. Overall boring.

Pretty light/thin porter. Chocolate and roasty. Very watery. Still decent and crushable.

Uggh, you want to like something you have never seen...now I wish I had never seen this. Nose is nice, roasted malt some chocolate wafting in the background...taste is a porter with a shot of water. Way too light.

JohnnyJ (5562) - San Diego, California, USA - MAY 26, 2016
Bottle. Clear brownish pour, with a thin head. Watery and thin for a porter. Burnt malt, molasses, watery, and a bit of dark fruit. Not very good.
