Smells very good. Sweet caramel. Taste is pretty decent. Not real sweet, but a full malty amber flavor. A little grassy flavor, most reminiscent of a bock. Pretty good stuff, esp. for 4% jasonp (1581) - Ashburn, Virginia, USA - MAY 6, 2006
On tap at a mexican restaurant in downtown SLC, I forgot the name. Very clear amber with no head really. Aroma is slightly malty and floral. Some caramel and floral hops in there. Overall light on the malt. Lighter bodied with moderate carbonation. Washes down ok with dinner. Pretty middle of the road though. It’s a beautiful state scenery-wise but I’m glad I live elsewhere. bitter (1136) - Henderson, Nevada, USA - FEB 22, 2005
this one reminded me of a amber ale or middle of the road....not alot of floral hops and even backbone of malty crunch. dont know what makes it their ’superior’ ale. every one of their beers has exactly 4%abv??? strange mormon brews. biz82 (1327) - austin, Texas, USA - FEB 3, 2005
Clear and light brown with a frothy tan head that lasts. Spicy aroma of malt and hops. Interesting combination of flavors with a bit of chocolate, some toasted malt, hops, vanilla, and a little acridness. Thin body. dolemike1 (1289) - Jeannette, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 20, 2004
Not very hoppy, not very malty. Decent coloration, not much of a head, too damn watery. Not a great offering.

This beer was veryd dissapointing. Although I could taste the hops, which were not at all floral, they were not well balanced with the sweet malt. BückDich (5477) - McCall, Idaho, USA - JUL 20, 2003
medium body with a lasting hoppy finish. Floral grapefruit with a musky malt background. a good amber ale with a good kick of dry hoppying. Braudog (6836) - Yorktown, Virginia, USA - JUL 3, 2003
Dark brown with a toffee head. Roasty nose. Bitter nutty and well bodied. More like a brown ale. Thin. Zach Diesel (905) - Sisters, Oregon, USA - MAR 31, 2003
looks like every other fucking utah beer, dark malt with some bitterness, I think it was a bad sample though, but I can't complain because the ladies at goldminer's daughter hooked up the sample for free because it was the end of the barrel 3fourths (9358) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - JAN 9, 2003
Pours a thick head, dark amber. Smells mildly hoppy. Very mild taste, not really anything special. Palate is bland. No substantial aftertaste, resulting in a middle-of-the-road ale. Not really superior.
