Single from the pub store. Clear dark copper, medium head. Strangely stewed aroma. Very sweet malt taste, almost syrupy. Heavy body, yet has the feel of a soft drink. Not what I was expecting at all. hopasaurus_rex (109) - Surprise, Arizona, USA - FEB 12, 2012
Pours a deep mahogany. Little to no head. Aromas of malt, caramel, candied sugar, lemon zest. First taste is very sweet, very malty, slightly bitter, tangy. Mouthfeel is sticky as hell. Overall not too bad, not really my style of beer. KAggie97 (3529) - Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring, Texas, USA - FEB 11, 2012

Pours a sappy, thick amber with a nose of raisin sugar, dark cherry sugar bread, toffee (thanks, Julie!), and a touch of molasses. Flavor is raisiny bread, plumbed sugar, and cherry. Average mouthfeel. Tasty.
Pours a clear amber with minimal head that quickly dissipates. Prominent roasted malt and mild caramel notes. A little boozy. Moderate carbonation, medium bodied. Mildly sweet up front with mild bitterness in the finish. Pretty good dopplebock. SeattleRunner (8) - - JAN 26, 2012 does not count
Tasted from a bottle. Decent aroma, very nice brown with pod hues. Very smooth, good notes of chocolate, and minimal hops. Overall decent beer, one of Wasatch’s finest.

Bottle thanks to my brother. Deep red color when held ot light, but otherwise a pretty mahogany. There is a thin white head. The nose has a rich note of toffee and black tea. There was also the sweetness of pears and a hint of tobacco. The taste was rich with black tea and a little bit of tobacco. There was also some pear core. This is a tasty brew. 5000 (6862) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - NOV 29, 2011
Bottle: Dirty caramel, a little dark, moderate sudsy off-white head, sparce lacing. Sweet bready nose, a little fruity in the raisin/date sense. Molasses, raisins, a little ginger and general breadiness on the tongue. As it warms, the spiciness comes out a bit more on the nose. Body and mouthfeel are moderate. This one has a lot of the flavor, without the huge hefty breadiness that sometimes detracts. Slight graininess shows up on the backside, but its not too strong. Overall nice sweetness, bready but not overly done, with some dark pitted fruit notes. This one was rather nice!   Minor Gingerbread notes sealed it. Pours a deep brown with a flimsy head that quickly dissipates. Aroma of nuts and caramel malt. The balanced taste is the strong point of this brew. Highly drinkable... Will probably buy again. mikem409 (2027) - bloomfield, Michigan, USA - NOV 21, 2011

bottle... dark amber, a bit of copper, watery light tan head, only a ring, not much to look at... the nose is off, infected? caramel, peanut butter, and skunk, not a good start... wet dog, light caramel syrup way to sweet, finish of bitter wet dog... not good at all
