bottle. pours dark and deep. nose is sweet raisiny and boozed. mouth is quite sweet with raisins, dark malt, adjunct and additive sugar-like. overall, at least here in utah, a good economic supplement for the on tap and low strength beers served at all local venues.
Rich dark delicious beer. Double boch definitely lives up to its name. It's a strong tasting very drinkable post dinner beer, perfect after some dessert

Shared crowler poured to snifters showing a deep mahogany hue, a sudsy layer of off white foam, with spots & ribbons of lacing. The nose was malty, lightly toasted, some dark caramel sweetness, and dark dried fruit as cherry & plum. Medium bodied, with low carbonation, the taste was similar, but less expressive notes as the aroma’s, somewhat lifted by a bit of silkiness to the mouthfeel, and a touch of alcohol warmth. Drank from the bottle. Surprising thin and sweet for a double IPA. Wheat, caramel, fruity aftertaste that was off putting. Not very strong presence of hops. Derek881 (1272) - Denver, Colorado, USA - MAY 19, 2017
Poured from the bottle into a pint glass to drink. The beer had a somewhat opaque light brown to dark amber color with a smallish foamy off-white head with short retention, but decent cling and lacing. Its aroma featured notes of cereal and barley, along with some grainy hops and caramel malt tones. The beer had a somewhat sweet caramel malt and bread blended flavor with subtle earthy and grainy bitterness in the mix. It was somewhat creamy and watery with a lighter body and mouthfeel and low to average carbonation. tompete (333) - Tillsonburg, Ontario, CANADA - APR 1, 2017
Pours clear dark brown with a very fine beige head. Aroma is roasty. Flavour is chocolate and malt. Finish is slightly bitter. A nicely done dopple bock.

Strange looking pour.... Reddish copper, almost no head to speak of. Decent nose of nuts, wood, cherry. Mostly flat and dull feel. Rich roasty malts, woodiness, molasses, nutty finish. Meh. BlindGuardianco (89) - - FEB 22, 2017
Have not had a doppelbock in a while, pretty close to flat, very Malty but my first impression was sweet very sweet, I liked it perhaps a bit light and sweet for the style but I will give it another go. StefanSD (2451) - Ouray, Colorado, USA - FEB 1, 2017
Bottle. Very dark brown color that glows red when held to a light, head is khaki colored, small, and long lasting. The aroma is on the faint side with sweetened well roasted grains, minerals and dust. The taste is similar to the aroma with dark roasted chestnuts, diluted molasses and leather. The palate is full and a bit oily. Overall: very nice--the world needs more (good) doppelbock lagers.
