3.4
Dogbrick (13978) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - DEC 17, 2010
Bottle at Freakin’ Frog in Las Vegas. The beer is a murky mahogany color with a medium tan head that dissipates steadily to an outer ring. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of caramel, molasses and dark malt. Medium body with flavors of earthy malt, caramel and dark fruit. Faint hops in the background. The finish is sweet and malty with a ripe fruit aftertaste. Decent overall.

Can at home. Pours clear brown with a small, frothy beige head, short retention with spare lacing. Aroma is heavy caramel malt, light chocolate and toast malt, dates, figs and plums with light earthy hops. Flavor is moderate caramel, cookie and chocolate malt, melanoidins, dates and figs, light earthy and spicy hops and bitterness with a sweet finish. Full body and medium carbonation.

slowrunner77 (12972) - Reno, Nevada, USA - OCT 6, 2014
"pretty roasty in the aroma and flavor, and a touch thin for the style and an 8% brew. reminds me of mammoth double brown ale...like a bastard brown/dopplebock, which isn’t bad, but left me wanting a little more. fairly sweet lingering finish."

daknole (11402) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - JAN 3, 2009
Bottle. Amber pour. Aroma is very sweet with notes of caramel, sark fruits and spices. Flavor isnt what I expected to be honest. Sweet and malty with a heavy dose of caramel. Not bad, but not what it could of been.

3.2
BVery (11385) - Plymouth, Minnesota, USA - APR 27, 2012
Bottle. Clear amber pour with a smaller white head. Nose is caramel malt. Moderate palate. Kind of a malt bomb on the taste - caramel and earthy tones. Not bad.
