Bottle: @ The Pub Monte Carlo. With dueling pianos. Must visit this place on your trip to LV (expensive though).

Bottle. Very dark brown color that glows red when held to a light, head is khaki colored, small, and long lasting. The aroma is on the faint side with sweetened well roasted grains, minerals and dust. The taste is similar to the aroma with dark roasted chestnuts, diluted molasses and leather. The palate is full and a bit oily. Overall: very nice--the world needs more (good) doppelbock lagers.

Pours a dark amber, bronze color. Sort of an odd color. Barely any head, barely covers the surface of the beer. No head means no retention, but very slight lacing.

Aroma is nutty. Almonds maybe. Maybe some figs. Raisin bread. Sweet.

Taste is sweet, maybe a touch of alcohol. Syrupy. Molasses, figs and raisins. Almonds, a touch of chocolate.

Mouthfeel is medium bodied. Syrupy, silky almost. Dont know where the alcohol went.

Overall, this is really good. I dont really care so much for bocks, but I amuse myself when I see them. I say to myself "Bock bock bock" like a chicken, and then I buy them. But Im not disappointed, this is a great one. I would recommend his, and I would "bock" er buy this again.

Nifty aroma. Darkish appearance; thinish head. Full bodied taste w/some sweet background. Slightly oily. Overall: Nicely warming. Nice. Recommended.

The aroma is of plum and maybe stale bread. The appearance is a deep purple with a thin white head. The taste is of plum with a coffee end. A little heavy, but overall an eye opener for sure.

12 oz. bottle poured into a shaker- poured a 75% nontransparent when held to a light source darkened brown color, off white head about the vessel for a head and several very small frog eyes with it, light lacing as it went into my tummy. Aroma of cheap booze and brown sugar. Hits the mouth with a medium body, malt is sweet but is awash in alcohol, some plum and hardwood on the backend. Kind of all over the map, but its what I got.

Dark brown body, white foamy head, some lacing. Very pleasant dried fruit and molasses, brown sugar, grains, aroma. Taste is rich dried fruit, cola, molasses, and a hint of anise. Really nice doppelbock. (And hilarious description.) Good job, guys.

Decent malt and toasted grains. A touch too sweet though. A little lacking in malt depth. A bit soapy at times. Copper to brown in color and a small fading light beige head. 11/10

Can at home. Pours clear brown with a small, frothy beige head, short retention with spare lacing. Aroma is heavy caramel malt, light chocolate and toast malt, dates, figs and plums with light earthy hops. Flavor is moderate caramel, cookie and chocolate malt, melanoidins, dates and figs, light earthy and spicy hops and bitterness with a sweet finish. Full body and medium carbonation.

Notaa dulces, caramelo, granos y alcohol. Cuerpo medio, corona de espuma abundante de media retencin, carbonatacion baja. Color roho cobrizo. En boca sabores dulces, caramelo, malta, alcohol. Al paladar es algo agresiva e intensa. En general es buena pero poco equilubrada.
