Wasatch Winterfest is a rich amber ale with caramel malt flavors and a large hop presence. Brewed with the finest Northwestern pale and caramel malts then generously hopped with Columbus and Amarillo hops. Crafted in the spirit and style of the Sierra Nevada Celebration. Inspiration? "This new seasonal was brewed to warm you through the cold winter months! Our Winterfest Ale makes a wonderful compliment to an epic day on the mountain, and the perfect companion around the fire. It’s our toast to Utah."

From 12 oz. bottle. A little scent of caramel, nuttiness, spruce, and faint citrus. Amber/Copper color with thin tan head and medium lacing. Lightly bitter and slightly acidic feel to the palate with a stinging feeling for about a minute after taste continuing to a and hop resin finale. A very thin texture with little carbonation. Overall the First One Down wouldn’t be my last one I would drink!

Dark amber to garnet pour with a 2-3 finger creamy beige head that has great retention and leaves good lacing. Aroma of sweet caramel, wet cereal, earthy grain, then floral, spicy, citrus and fresh pine hops, light bready and tree fruit notes. Flavor is dark caramel, fruity yeast, an odd hint of banana here and there, earthy grain, light toffee, then sweet and bitter citrus, earthy floral, pine, cooked guava and spicy hops. Medium body, dry, slightly chewy entry, light to medium carbonation, light boozy warmth, dry, slightly astringent finish. Good stuff for sure, I don’t know why this isn’t classed as an IPA, but it’s good.
