COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Wasatch Winterfest is a rich amber ale with caramel malt flavors and a large hop presence. Brewed with the finest Northwestern pale and caramel malts then generously hopped with Columbus and Amarillo hops. Crafted in the spirit and style of the Sierra Nevada Celebration. Inspiration? "This new seasonal was brewed to warm you through the cold winter months! Our Winterfest Ale makes a wonderful compliment to an epic day on the mountain, and the perfect companion around the fire. It’s our toast to Utah."

Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Pours with a tan head and a brown body. Aroma of raisins, chamomile tea and honey. Must have been a old bottle as there were not a large amount of hops...at all. Taste was sweet with caramel and a bit tea like. Medium bubbles.

12oz bottle from, ironically, Wasatch. Pours dark mahogany in the glass but shines through a deep, clear copper when held up to light. It’s got a big 3-inch beige head that shows excellent retention and lacing. The aroma is very subdued and mainly sweet caramel malts mixed with floral pine hops. There are hints of orange peel in the nose as well. The taste has a quick hop kick up front before the big sweetness of the caramel malts take over. The finish is hoppy with some pine needles and herbs, slightly dry. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with strong carbonation and fairly prickly with the hops coming out surprisingly well. I enjoyed this as a well-balanced winter brew with a surprising hop kick thrown in.

Bottle:clear auburn color, nice big creamy head. Nose of big caramel and brash bitter hops, lots of pine and citrus with caramel spicyness. Flavor is like a candy cane with the sweet malts and complex fruity notes. Finishes on the hoppy side. Nice strong winter warmer for the ut.
