Poured Poured a crystal clear deep copper color with an off-white head. Fruity and nutty malt with a citrus hop aroma. Malty flavor with toasty notes. Hoppy grapefruit finish and a long dry hop bitterness. Light-medium bodied. Very clean. Nice beer. SuperDave (1932) - Beautiful Sunny Mesa, Arizona, USA - MAR 28, 2009
Pours a burnt red color with a lasting white head. Aroma of pine and citrus hops, spice and roasted caramel malt. Flavor is much the same, big malt starts it off with the spice and a buttload of hoppiness coming in later. Very tasty stuff. Sparky (2244) - Phoenix, Arizona, USA - MAY 14, 2009
Bottle courtesy of douglas88. Pours clear dark reddish brown with a dense 2 finger tan head that sticks around like an iceberg and leaves delicate lacing. The nose is sweet caramel, overly ripe fruit and brown sugar. The taste is caramel malt, citrus and some nice resin bite in the finish. Not as sweet as the aroma suggests, which is a huge plus. Medium bodied. Good beer – I don’t think I’ve had a bad one from them yet. Thanks Douglas! MikeJslc (778) - USA - NOV 17, 2012
UPDATED: NOV 26, 2012 Deep copper, clear, tan head. Aroma of bready malt, toffee, light chocolate, spicy and resiny hops with a hint of grassiness (this is a 2012, seems hoppier than prior years). Flavor is similar with resiny-piney hops, underlying malt of bread crusts, toffee, light chocolate. Medium-full bodied. Great winter warmer.

Bottle from Bandits on Main Street in Park City. Nice caramel color. This beer took me by surprise. Great spices and complex taste. Reminded me of a barely wine actually. Carbonation was low with thick mouthfeel. Malt, spices and hops made this complex but balanced beer

Bottle thanks to douglas88. Pours a dark color that resembles cherrywood varnish with a thin khaki head. The aroma is sweet and hoppy with some goond tangerine and pine notes, some brown sugar, burnt caramel, and a hint of leather. The flavor is some general piney hops with a current of caramel and toffee beneath it. Some grapefruit qualities emerge after a few sips, as well as a faint hazelnut note. The finish is dry and pleasantly hoppy. This here is a pretty good brew. zathrus13 (1776) - Mount Laurel, New Jersey, USA - MAR 31, 2009
Bottle, thanks to footbalm. Pours redish brown. Aroma is malt, caramel, and fruit. Flavor is caramel, malt and spices. Medium body. Slightly bitter finish. DalzAle (2037) - Eden Prairie, Minnesota, USA - APR 9, 2009
Bottle. Dark brown pour, some light carbonation with a little malt and hop aroma. Flavor was rich and bitter caramel, hops and very herbal. Finish was a warming and mellowed out as time went on. I think this was my 1st Utah beer, and i really dug it! sebletitje (10096) - Enghien, BELGIUM - OCT 17, 2009

pours light brown, frothy beige head.
Aroma is hoppy, caramel malts, with nice light roast.
Flavor, same as aroma, profile leans toward a good roasted malts, chocolate and some spices, grainy and bready mouthfeeel. Finish with light hops, some chocolate.
Tasty. TLNash886 (228) - Idaho, USA - NOV 19, 2009
Pours a near-impenetrable reddish-brown into a snifter. Decent amount of off-white head. Aroma of hops, hops, hops, and more hops. Little bit of pine and some floral sweetness. Considering the nose, I was expecting this to be a disappointingly over-hopped brew. Much to my joy, it had a decent amount of malty sweetness to balance it out. Medium carbonation that sits well in your mouth. Surprisingly drinkable with a pleasant sweet floral finish. Not too complex, but surprisingly fairly well balanced. Not too shabby.
