Cask (gravity) @ GBBF 2012, Great British Beer Festival, London Olympia, Hammersmith Road, London, England W14 8UX.
Unclear dark brown color with a small, fizzy, virtually none lacing, fully diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, caramel, tart fruit, tobacco, ash - smoke. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet, light acidic and moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat.
Cask at GBBF 2012, London. Pours brown with a fine, bubbly white head. Mild tangy dark malt nose. Light tangy flavor, too, with some further dark malt character, light cocoa. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Light sweet finish with further, faint tang along with burnt grass and dark sugars. So so. madmitch76 (25230) - , Essex, ENGLAND - OCT 14, 2012

GBBF. Almost opaque dark brown beer, little residual tan head. Light dry palate. Medium malts. Mildly sour red berry fruits. Light dry finish.
Dcask at GBBF 2012...dark black thin tan head...soft chocolate and berry nose ... thin toffee malts ... berry fruits ... almost a cherry stout jackl (8285) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - AUG 20, 2012
Cask @GBBF ’12. The pour’s deep brown with no head. The nose is sweet lactose, sugar, milk and light creamed coffee. The taste is tangy sweet berry, more lactose and light coffee. Very sweet, perhaps a mild infection? Medium/light body, soft carbonation. Overall, I don’t like my stouts overly sweet. Not a highlight for me...

Black colour, small white head. Aroma is fruity, roasted malts, ripe fruits and some mild coffeeish toasted notes. Flavour is rather similar. Ends with a quite rich ripe fruity way.
