3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Had it on tap at the brewery in Waltham
Very pretty beer. Can’t tell if it was the lighting but it was a cloudy red/orange hue with a white head that looked appealing.
Smelled spicy but also a little rank.
Tastes-There’s definitely some spice but I didn’t pick up any of the fruity/citrusy notes a lot of saisons have. It was fairly. As far as saisons go it felt like it was missing something.
Mouthfeel- Medium body, medium carbonation.
OVerall it was a decent beer but with saisons I set the bar pretty high and it fell a little short. It was the only beer I tried but if I went back I would probably try something else.
Pouring at BBF in Boston. Pours a hazed amber with a thin to medium sized white to beige head. Soft lemon and herbal notes on the nose. Medium-bodied, light musk and wheat into a big lemon flavor. Gentle bitterness with more lemon. Ernesto987 (6050) - Arizona, USA - AUG 4, 2013
Only bad beer of the 40 or so we drank tonight, plastic nd full of tons of off flavors, not a fan t all Travlr (26069) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - SEP 9, 2012

Lighty crystal-malty nose. Golden-orange color. Malty and minty flavor...strange really.

(Draught) Pours a hazy orange body with a small off-white head. Aroma of pepper, grass, orange, and coriander. Flavor of grass, citrus, yeast, pepper, and coriander. chriso (21656) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 12, 2009
On tap at Watch City, Waltham MA, 5 November 2009. Like the Bee Jesus, this was also gold and also fruity. Some bubblegum. Sweetish. For me this exhibited the usual US saison problem - too much ester, not enough rustic farmyard. All a matter of personal taste of course but I found this clean and pleasant but lacking in interest and complexity.

(Draught at BA’s BBF’09) Poured golden and hazy with small white head. Aroma was mostly spicy with light sourness. Medium bodied palate with medium carbonation. Tasted of spiciness, sourness, malts, sweetness, hops, bitterness, fruitiness and coriander. Spicy aftertaste. kramer (6905) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 28, 2008
On tap, BCTC 2008. Pours a hazy dark amber with a moderate foamy off-white head. The nose is dominated by big spices, coriander and orange peel mostly, some bready malt. Rather hot peppery flavor with just a bit of farmhouse character sneaking through past all the spicing. Light to medium bodied with fizzy prickly carbonation. Not my ideal take on the style, I like the spicing to be minimal and the flavor to be derived from the yeast more. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - AUG 10, 2008
(BCTC, draft) Cloudy copper body with medium beige head. Aroma is medium sweet, pepper, some coriander, light orange. Taste is medium sweet, coriander, some orange, light pepper. Watery light-medium body.
