Tap at the brewpub. Very clean/clear with a nice white head. Hay and cereal grains with a little bit of farmhouse must. Overall a basic, but good Helles.
In short: A clean blond lager with freshness qualities. Good basic thirst beer.
How: Tap at brewpub.
The look: Clear blond body topped by a small white head.
In long: Nose is fresh cereals, freshly cut hay sensation, distant herbal/grassy hops notes. Taste is smooth bready cereals, soft wet hay, boiled eggs white, light grassy hops presence. Low sweetness sensation. Mild bitterness. Medium body with lots of soft bubbles, very pleasant mouthfeel. Basically this was a glass of fresh liquefied cereals, pretty much what I expect as basic example of the style. It was an enjoyable beer but mostly because its freshness quality that comes with drinking a pint directly at the brewpub. A very clean beer from a very clean new brewpub, and if somebody is missing a curly brown butt hair, I found it in the pub toilet floor, beermail me.
