Great raspberry nose, fresh and bountiful. Sour and watery, this didn't resemble beer, especially as described on Muzzlehatch's rating. Things sure have changed for this beer it seems. Berry taste was most easily recognizable. Other grainy harsh taste is too overpowering. muzzlehatch (4975) - Beloit, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 14, 2002
Reddish-tinged amber color, smallish head. Great balance, with wheaty/lemony tones not compromised by a strong raspberry intrusion. Cookie/creamy/fruity nose works very well; body is fairly light but not thin; very drinkable, and a really pleasant surprise. Not smoky like most of this pub's brews.
