Tap sample. Poured hazy reddish amber color with no head. Moderate sweet raspberry fruit aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium sweet raspberry flavor with a medium sweet fruit finish of moderate duration. Worth having once.

Would you look at that an actual non-shit beer from this brewery and it is one of the best raspberry beers I have had. It is tart and succulent with fresh raspberry all the way through.

On tap at the Water Street in Delafield location. Poured a medium reddish amber color (I couldnt quite finger the color) with a smaller sized head. Served with a slice of lemon! Stronger raspberry aromas. Tastes of lighter raspberries and light wheat. Some lemons (which I attribute to the lemon slice) as well. Fizzy body.

On tap at the Delafield location. Pours a near clear pale grapefruit with a white head that dissipated completely. Aroma is full of raspberries that begin sweet but finish with a bit of tartness and underlying wheat. Flavor is full of raspberries that are mainly tart with a backing light wheat note.

5/31/10. 12oz bottle from WBC into a pint glass. Musky fermented fruit aromas and a sour fruity raspberry kick. Also a dirty/ashy flavor hanging in there, too.

UPDATED: JUN 19, 2005 On tap at their downtown Milwaukee location. Bright orange pour, slight, white head. Fruity aroma of raspberries which is slightly artifical. Flavor has the same raspberry nature to it - which is again artificial to some degree, but tasty and refereshing as an after dinner drink. Mouthfeel has some spritziness to it. Decent.

Cloudy red pour with a little white head. Very sweet aroma.. primarily of raspberries and a little wheat. Light and watery on the palate. Flavor was of raspberries, but not fresh ones... more of sugary raspberry concentrate. A bit tart on the finish. Better than expected, but definitely nothing special going on here.

Sampler poured draft at the brewpub (milwaukee, wi). Pours a coppery hue with berry red notes and a whitish head that dissipates to a film. Aromas are vaguely flaked wheat and very light raspberry puree notes. Beer is wheaty, light sourness, and some vague raspberry notes. A bit sour, no? Finishes with some more natural berry sweetness. One dimensional, but does the job. Sourness a decent change of pace.

While adding fruit to a wheat beer always sounds like a great idea it never seems to work out well. This one didnt either. There was plenty of raspberry aromas and flavors to it. They seemed authentic rather than canned, too. Many brewers are making this mixture. Hopefully the trend does not continue.
