A finely balanced pale bitter, with a delicate fusion of citrus hops. A clean dry and refreshingly smooth after taste.

Handpull cask at the Watermill Inn, Ings. Pale-ish yellow with a large white head. Light aroma of raw grain, dried grass, hay. Bitter taste with a sulphurous edge. Very dry finish with a metallic tinge. Not so keen.

Cask at Waterwheel Inn brewpub. Pours clear pale gold with small white head. Aroma sligh citrus and malt. Taste slightly sweet with decent hop citrus character. Kinda buttery mouthfeel with reasonable alcohol lift. Very smooth to drink with lingering bitterness. Not bad at all.

Cask in the Watermill. Golden with an off white head. Light citrus and hay aroma. Th etaste is more citrus, slightly syrupy with a pleasant hay bitter finish. OK.

Cask at Watermill Inn, Ings - Clear yellowy golden body, thin white top. Nose crisp citrus, bit grassy, slight caramel hint. Taste is sweet, sharp finish, lots of citrus again dominating.

Cask conditioned handpump Wig & Pen Northampton 17/06/14. A golden coloured beer with a big white head and lace. Too sweet for me and verging on cloying. Perfumed notes. A bit of vomit on the nose. Do get hoppiness later on but by then the damage is done.

Cask handpull, The Watermill, Ings, Cumbria, 17/02/13. Pale, very lacy gold. Bourbon and almond hints; honey, pastry. Dull grass and pinecone nose. Bitter linger without hop flavour. Soft condition.

cask at brewpub ... golden yellow ... thin white head ... soft light lemon nose ... juicy mellon yellow ... soft juicy fruits ... soft and mellow fruit hop ... lovely ...

Cask at the brewpub. A good strong pale ale. Strangely, a touch of sherry in the aroma. Plenty of bitterness, which becomes more rounded with drinking. Although it’s described as pale, dry & hoppy, I found the finish quite sweet and faintly vineous, with some caramel in the background and also in the finish.

Cask: Golden, lacy white head, sticking to the glass, light to moderate fruity ( almost Kölsch-like) nose with grainy and hoppy flavours; light to moderate bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied; slightly lingering, almost solid bitter-sweet finish with an increasing bitterness towards the end. Unspectacular, but well crafted.....

Cask at the brewpub. Alround rating: Sweeter pale malts, grassy and floural hop, quite a bit of honey going on. Sweetside of balanced. Alkright but i was in a hurry and didnt finish the half.
