330 ml bottle from LCBO (part of St Bernardus Mixed Pack). Pours a cloudy bright straw yellow with good-sized, lasting white head. Aroma is sweet tree fruit, clove, cereal grains and some earthiness. Flavour has lots of lemon, apple and pineapple fruitiness, some clove and pepper, a little candy sugar, graininess and a light earthiness. Lively carbonation. Nice one.

33cl bottle part of a taster pack. 7.5% alc / vol. Pours a hazy deep gold colour with one finger of white head. Aroma of strawberries, rhubarb, bananas and Belgian yeast. Refreshing, fruity Taste with a spicy finish. High carbonation. Solid Belgian tripel with a light and refreshing fruity taste. It’s just as good as St. Bernardus’ Tripel, if not better.

codfishh (202) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 12, 2015

Bottle from Mam and Dad’s holiday Ypres, Belgium. A cloudy golden beer that pours with a large head of white foam. It has a flavour of pineapple and slight sour citrus fruits followed by a clean peppery hoppy and earthy finish. Nice!

bottle @ Party Town / Florence KY --- Hazy dirty medium amber color, white head cover, curtain of lace. Aroma of malt and cereal. Taste is bracing semi-sweet malt and yeast that has a strong carbonation edge as it moves through the palate, continuing to pure bittering that turns sweeter with fruit and bubblegum as it drifts through the finish. Some alcohol warmth turns up late. Yes, it’s a traditional Abbey Ale, but, very well done. Recommended.
