On tap at the brewpub. Big foamy pour, looks like a nitro stout. Nice mild roasty flavors that are not overwhelming. Happy olfactory. No CO2 detectable on the buds. July 17-19, 2008: Weasel Boy Brown Stoat Stout has a decent, but not great aroma. The beer is black with a khaki-colored head. The flavor is comprised of roasted malt, hints of cola, and finishes with coffee. Again, another okay beer...

This was a lighter stout than I expected from the description at the brewery, although that makes sense for a dry stout and this was by no means a bad beer. The body of the beer was brilliant even though it was black, which I thought a touch unusual for a stout. Minimal head, and a nice aroma...a touch roasty with some light coffee and toffee notes. Sample at the brewpub. Pours almost black with a medium and creamy khaki head that diminishes steadily. Patchy lacing on the glass. Roasty aroma with notes of malt and chocolate. Medium-bodied with a pleasant roasted character and flavors of malt, chocolate and coffee. The finish is dry and roasty with a coffee and sweet malt aftertaste. Pretty good overall.
